Abstract/Summary:
As an important part of coastal buildings, breakwaters protect port buildings and provide a strong guarantee for the docking and operation of ships. The sloping breakwater is one of the most widely used structural types. In the construction of overseas projects,long-period waves often have an important impact on breakwater projects. This paper combinates physical model test and numerical simulation to study the hydrodynamic characteristics of sloping breakwater under the action of long-period waves.According to the engineering example of the Port of Chancay in Peru, physical model tests were carried out,JONSWAP spectrum was used to simulate irregular waves, and the physical model of slope embankment was acted on by wave conditions that conformed to the actual project, and the stability, structural force, wave volume, wave transmission and many other content were analyzed.Based on the Open FOAM numerical simulation, the Navier Stokes equation of the incompressible fluid is used as the governing equation to construct a twodimensional numerical calculation model of the interaction between the wave and the porous medium sloping breakwater.Further research and analysis are carried out to calculate the wave elimination characteristics and the force of the breakwater under different porous media parameters and different wave elements.Analyze the wave elimination performance and structural loads under the influence of different factors.Increasing the wave height of the incident wave, the wave period, and the porosity of the boulder will all cause the wave force on the parapet wall to increase, and the wave height has the most significant influence.Increasing the period of the incident wave, the porosity of the rock on the slope, and the relative water depth in front of the dike will all lead to the enhancement of the transmission of the breakwater, and the porosity has the most significant influence on the transmission of the breakwater.Increasing the wave height of incident waves, although the wave height increases behind the breakwater, the transmission effect of the breakwater weakens.
