Conventional ammunition warhead explosion fragments are typical highly maneuverable small targets.After the warhead explodes,its fragmentation speed rapidly decays,and the distribution range is about100m/s to 3000m/s.Their size is usually within 6mm in diameter,and causes flicker changes in the radar echo scattering cross-sectional area.In addition,because the fragmentation target has the characteristics of high speed and maneuverability,the frequency spectrum in the signal transmission period will cause distance offset and Doppler frequency offset.Aiming at the above difficulties in the detection of explosive fragments of conventional ammunition warheads,this paper has carried out technical research and system design based on continuous wave radar,which mainly overcomes the shortcomings of traditional radars for insufficient observation time resolution of highly maneuverable small targets,and on the designed radar system,it can effectively detect highly maneuverable small targets.The work of this article is summarized as follows:First,the dynamic and electromagnetic scattering characteristics of the highly maneuverable small target are analyzed,and the mathematical model and electromagnetic scattering characteristics are obtained by analyzing the typical fragmented target dynamic characteristics and electromagnetic scattering calculation methods.Secondly,based on the linear frequency modulation continuous wave radar,this paper has studied its echo signal processing algorithm in detail,and can measure the movement state of multiple targets,followed by the characteristics of highly maneuverable small targets,in order to improve the time resolution and measurement accuracy of the system,an improved form of signal transmission and subband segmentation algorithm is proposed.Third,according to the detection needs of conventional ammunition warhead explosion fragments,the parameters of each module of the radar system are analyzed,and the research on the construction,debugging and experimental research of the radar system based on conventional ammunition warhead explosion fragments is carried out.Finally,this paper conducts external field tests to verify the effectiveness of the actual radar system.The experimental results show that the designed radar system can effectively detect and monitor highly maneuverable small targets.
