Steam-electric dual drive is a new driving mode in industrial system.The combined driving mode of steam turbine and electric motor is adopted.At present,it is mainly used in power plant,petrochemical and other industries.Steam-electric dual drive makes "steam" and "electric" each other standby,improve the reliability of unit operation.At the same time,it can give play to the advantages of "steam" and "electric" respectively.By setting the driving mode flexibly,the unit energy consumption can be significantly reduced,bringing considerable economic benefits.Therefore,the dualdrive mode is more and more used in the industrial field,and the research and development of all kinds of equipment to meet the requirements of working conditions in the dual-drive unit is particularly important.Asynchronous motor is the core equipment of steam-electric dual drive unit and the hub of unit power regulation.The asynchronous motor in the steam-electric dualdrive unit shall operate as both a motor and a generator.Therefore,the designed asynchronous motor needs to consider various complicated working conditions,such as motor,generation,and continuous switching between two states.At the same time,the unit has higher requirements on the starting and overload capacity of the motor.Moreover,the efficiency,power factor and other parameters of the motor at each steadystate operating point,as well as the impulse current at transient operating conditions,all need to meet the requirements of users.Therefore,it is difficult to design the asynchronous motor-generator in the steam-electric dual drive unit,so special research and analysis are needed.This paper relies on the steam-electric dual drive transformation project of a power plant.Through the analysis of all the motor operating conditions in the steamelectric dual-drive unit,the electromagnetic and structure design of the motor is carried out,and the motor performance under special conditions is checked.Then the finite element simulation software is used to analyze the electromagnetic field and transient performance parameters of the motor.Finally,through the trial production of the project prototype,the type test report and field unit trial operation data are obtained to verify the rationality of the design scheme of the motor and the analyzed content.It provides a demonstration for the design of asynchronous motor-generator for the steam-electric dual drive units in the future,and also provides technical support for the transformation of steam-electric dual drive units in various industrial fields.
