When the non-motorized vehicle lane at the intersection of urban roads cannot satisfy the non-motorized vehicle overtaking space,non-motorized vehicle will complete the overtaking behavior by entering the crosswalk,which affects the safety and comfort of pedestrians crossing the street.In order to reduce the occurrence of the above situation,some intersections reserve a certain width of space between the non-motorized vehicle lane and the crosswalk as a buffer zone.Due to the lack of basis for the value of the buffer width,the setting effect is different.Therefore,study the overtaking behavior characteristics of pedestrian crossings occupied by non-motorized vehicles at intersections,and establish a simulation model of overtaking.Based on this,it can be used as an analysis tool for non-motorized vehicle crossings at intersections.The width of the buffer area can be reasonably set to reduce pedestrian and non-motorized vehicle conflicts and improve the operation efficiency of the intersection has theoretical and practical significance.This paper takes pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles at urban road intersections as the research object,and establishes a simulation model for non-motorized vehicles to occupy the road(crosswalk)by improving the social force model.The specific content is as follows:(1)Research on overtaking characteristics of non-motorized vehicles occupying the road.According to the measured data of typical signalized intersections in Beijing,characteristics such as the proportion of non-motorized vehicles occupying overtaking,overtaking willingness,overtaking trajectory,etc.The overtaking stage is divided based on the overtaking trajectory,and the characteristic parameters such as the individual distance and the longitudinal distance in the overtaking process are determined.Analyze the influencing factors of overtaking on the road.Density is an important parameter that affects the characteristics of overtaking on the road.Different density of non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians affect the width and length of the overtaking by non-motorized vehicles.(2)Based on the social force model,a microscopic simulation model of non-motorized vehicle occupation and overtaking is established.The social force model is improved by considering the characteristics of non-motorized vehicle lanes or crosswalk boundaries in different stages of occupation of non-motorized vehicle lanes.Non-motorized vehicles are willing to return to the non-motorized lane as soon as possible after the overtaking is completed.When returning to the non-motorized vehicle lane,it is mainly affected by the density of the oncoming crowd.The crowd density force is introduced,which together with the driving force and the repulsive force of the non-motorized workshop constitutes occupation of the road.The overtaking non-motor vehicle right of way correction force enables the occupied road to return to the lane as soon as possible.(3)Model calibration and validation.The social force model is improved according to the calibration of the characteristic parameters of non motor vehicles occupying the road,focusing on the calibration of the relevant parameters such as the longitudinal distance,the repulsive force between non motor vehicles,the boundary force and the crowd density force.Based on Python language,the simulation platform of non motorized vehicle overtaking is built,and verified by non motorized vehicle overtaking behavior,overtaking trajectory,the number of times of overtaking behavior and basic diagram.(4)Research on the setting of buffer zone between non-motorized vehicle lane and crosswalk at signalized intersection.The relationship between the width of the buffer area and the number of overtakings occupied by non-motorized vehicles is studied,and suggestions for setting the buffer area are made based on the simulation results.
