Study On The Turning Radius Of Urban Road Intersection

Urban Road intersection is an important part of urban road network system.It is an important transition node in urban road system.It is also the most frequent location of traffic accidents and traffic congestion.Its traffic accident rate and degree of traffic congestion are far higher than ordinary road sections.Turning radius of intersection is an important technical index of intersection,which directly affects the size of intersection scope,vehicle traffic safety,pedestrian crossing efficiency,signal phase setting,etc.,and then affects the traffic safety and traffic capacity of intersection.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the turning radius of Urban Road intersection from different angles to improve the traffic efficiency of Urban Road intersection and ensure traffic safety.This paper takes the urban road intersection as the research object.Firstly,on the basis of summarizing the classification of Urban Road intersection,it summarizes the traffic operation characteristics of Urban Road intersection,analyzes the traffic characteristics of drivers,pedestrians,vehicles,road conditions and traffic environment,and based on the force analysis of right turning vehicles,studies and puts forward the main influencing factors of intersection turning radius 。 Secondly,starting from the four elements of the traffic system,the relationship between the pedestrian crossing traffic and the turning radius of the intersection is analyzed,and the pedestrian traffic factors that affect the traffic efficiency of the intersection are revealed.From the perspective of vehicles,the minimum turning radius requirements of different types of vehicles are studied on the basis of vehicle turning characteristics,and the ratio of different vehicle types is given based on the proportion of vehicle types From the perspective of road grade,this paper analyzes the relationship between traffic operation speed and design speed of different grade roads,as well as the reduction at the intersection,and obtains the correlation between different design speed and actual operation speed of traffic flow.In addition,combined with the traffic environment,it combs out the main factors that have great influence on the traffic operation of the intersection,and expounds this Then,according to the theory of traffic engineering and other research results,the index system and factor grade interval of intersection turning radius are analyzed,and the calculation model of intersection turning radius is constructed,and the calculation process of intersection turning radius is given.Finally,through the practice of traffic engineering,the index system and factor grade interval of intersection turning radius are analyzed For example,it scientifically answers the reasonable value of turning radius in engineering practice,and evaluates the traffic safety and traffic efficiency through software experiment and theoretical calculation,and gives some suggestions for later work.Based on the guidance of ensuring traffic safety and improving traffic efficiency,this paper comprehensively analyzes the influence of various elements of traffic system on the turning radius of intersection,and scientifically analyzes the reasonable value of turning radius considering various traffic elements by means of investigation,experimental analogy and model construction.The research results have a certain guiding role in the design,evaluation and improvement of urban road intersections.
