Road guidance sign is a necessary component of traffic guidance system.Continuous path guidance information can guide the driver to choose the right travel path,reduce detours,and improve travel efficiency.Therefore,analyzing the information continuity of road guidance sign and evaluating whether its guidance function meets the needs of users become an important factor to measure the information quality of road guidance sign system.There are many researches on the information continuity of urban road network,but few on expressway network.The existing research does not consider the influence of the frequency of information items and the difference of main radiation directions on the continuity.Based on the above research significance and status,this paper mainly studies from the following aspects:(1)This thesis analyzes the composition of Yinchuan Expressway guide sign system,studies its composition and existing information item selection rules from the types of entrance guide sign,main line location direction,location distance sign and exit guide sign,classifies the information items,and studies the information item characteristics of Yinchuan Expressway guide sign and the habit of spatial positioning of citizens according to the investigation and it reflects the local differences.(2)Based on the investigation and analysis of the spatial positioning habits of citizens when driving,this thesis sums up the problems of the current situation of Yinchuan Expressway travelers’ use of the guidance system,and finds the existing problems in the information selection of the expressway guidance system around Yinchuan,especially the problem of information continuity.(3)From the point of view of node,path,region,frequency information item and system,the continuity of guidance information is defined,that is to say,the continuity of information in Expressway guidance system is analyzed from three levels of micro,meso and macro respectively,and the necessity of analyzing the continuity from macro perspective is pointed out.(4)This thesis studies the quantitative analysis and evaluation model of information continuity of Expressway guidance system.Taking the regional road network guidance system as the research object,this thesis puts forward the quantitative analysis and evaluation index and calculation method of the information continuity of the guidance system from the macro,meso and micro levels.(5)This thesis studies and puts forward the steps of the continuity evaluation of the guidance system: using information item statistics and its frequency algorithm to count the information item and its frequency in the guidance system,combining with k-means The algorithm divides the information items into three types: high,medium and low frequency information items;selects one of the information items,uses the guide sign information table and the directed road section information table,according to the conditions that the effective path should meet,uses the python effective path search algorithm to determine the effective path set containing this information;then uses the calculation method of the information continuity evaluation index of the guide system to calculate the node,path and region continuity,then calculate the continuity evaluation index of frequency information item and system continuity evaluation index,and evaluate the information continuity of the whole region guide system.
