The traffic order of city road is the important embodiment of city management level.The increasingly complex urban traffic puts forward higher requirements on the ability of traffic management.As an important traffic management facility,traffic signs are not only the expression form of traffic organization,but also the basis of law enforcement.They play an important role in traffic order and safety management.Intersection lane control sign is a kind of indication sign,which is set upstream of the road intersection to convey lane driving direction to drivers.Reasonable and effective setting of intersection lane control sign can not only improve the traffic order at intersections,but also improve the operating efficiency of urban traffic.However,the current standard is not detailed enough about the position of intersection lane control sign,and the current research is also few.As a result,traffic authorities have no standards to follow when setting up signs.Their haphazard signs are often unreasonable.The leading distance of lane signs under different road and traffic conditions is obtained through the leading distance calculation model.The aim of this paper was to determine the prepositive distance of intersection lane control signs.The driver’s visual recognition distance,perception-reaction time and lane changing distance were taken as the basis for determination.The influence factors such as sign layout,lane number,lane position and speed were fully considered.The prepositive distance of intersection lane control signs under different road and traffic conditions was obtained through the calculation model.First of all,the paper analyzed the process of drivers’ sign discovery,reading,reaction and driving operation by combining the theory of information transmission and cognitive psychology,and established the formula for calculating the prepositive distance of intersection lane control signs.Then,the perception-reaction time and lane changing distance of drivers are studied experimentally.In the perception-reaction time experiment,UC-win/Road was used to build driving simulation scenarios with different variables,and E-Prime was used to collect drivers’ perception-reaction time in different scenarios.Through data analysis,the influencing factors of drivers’ perception-reaction time were explored,and the perceptionreaction time parameters for determining the prepositive distance of signs were obtained.In the lane changing distance experiment,the lane change driving track videos at different speeds were collected through the real vehicle experiment.Tracker video analysis software was used to extract the vehicle trajectory and calculate the lane changing distance data at different speeds,so as to obtain the lane changing distance parameters to determine the leading distance of the sign.Finally,the parameters in the prepositive distance formula were calculated,and the prepositive distance of intersection lane control signs under different roads and traffic conditions was finally obtained.The results of this paper can provide a basis for the traffic management department to set up intersection lane control signs,and provide reference for the further improvement of relevant standards.meanwhile,the research method has a reference significance for the follow-up traffic sign research. |
