In recent years,the development of China ’s expressways and the automobile industry have achieved outstanding achievements.As of the end of 2018,the cumulative mileage of expressways in China reached 142,600 kilometers,and the cumulative number of passenger cars reached 18.732 million.Development of passenger cars on expressways has become a hot field of concern in all sectors of our society.The rapid development of economy and urbanization has increased the demand for holidays and the traffic problems caused by the contradiction between the supply and demand of transportation resources have become increasingly prominent.Preferential policies for exempting passenger cars from tolls on holiday expressways have emerged.However,due to the lack of research on the influence of travel characteristics,the implementation of this policy has exacerbated the congestion of the expressway.Analyze the travel characteristics of passenger cars on holiday expressways,and grasp the characteristics of holiday travel needs of passenger cars,which is helpful for the traffic management department to optimize the expressway toll policy according to the travel rules and characteristics of passenger cars.At the same time,it can provide data support for the transportation department to reasonably plan the construction of transportation infrastructure.Based on this,this article takes holiday passenger cars as a research object and makes a comprehensive analysis of their travel characteristics.First,the passenger car travel data in the national expressway toll database is used as a large sample for statistical analysis.From a macro perspective,the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of passenger car traffic on the expressway during the holidays are quantitatively analyzed to obtain the holiday factors.The impact on the traffic distribution of expressway passenger cars reveals the mechanism of the impact of expressway toll policies on the behavior of expressway passenger cars during holidays and evaluates the regulatory effects of expressway toll policies.Then,based on the diversity of holiday travel purposes,the influencing factors of passenger car travel distances on expressways are analyzed,and the probability distributions of traveldistances of holiday passenger cars on non-holiday expressways are fitted and compared.Finally,based on the results of the analysis of travel behavior characteristics and the data of toll stations and service area,the discrete selection model is used to comprehensively consider the traveler’s personal attributes and holiday travel factors and other indicators,and evaluate the selected indicators for the purpose of holiday expressway passenger car travel Impact of land selection.
