With the acceleration of globalization,the role of transportation networks in economic development has become increasingly prominent.Compared with other modes of transportation,due to its fast,high security and low transportation costs,the air transportation system plays an increasingly important role in local,national and international economies.The air passenger transport network is an important part of the air transport system and a carrier of the economic and social value of air transport.Using the complex network theory to analyze the structural characteristics of the air passenger transport network will help researchers and managers to have a deeper understanding of the functions of the network in order to improve the network performance and strengthen the management of the network.However,most previous studies have ignored the multi-layered nature of real air passenger networks and the differences in weights between their edges.In order to make the research of network structure characteristics more suitable for the actual situation of air passenger transportation networks,this paper studies the structural characteristics of China’s air passenger transportation networks based on a multi-layer complex network method,including:1)From the perspective of multi-layer networks,the structural characteristics of the unauthorised Chinese airline passenger network are studied.According to the airport’s ability to radiate other areas,the airport nodes of the network are classified.Then,the paper stacks five layers of nodes with hierarchical structure,including HNA,China Eastern Airlines,China Southern Airlines,Air China Group,and various small airlines,in order to form a multi-layer aggregation network.The structural characteristics of the network.The results show that with the superposition of the passenger networks of the four major aviation groups,the aggregated network will gradually show features such as high clustering coefficients,short feature path lengths,and high average degrees.This paper also finds that when the number of nodes in the aggregation network is different,the values of the characteristic parameters of the various structural characteristics of the aggregation network vary during the superposition process.Finally,by superimposing an air passenger network composed of small airlines on the above-mentioned aggregate network,the analysis finds that the high clustering coefficient and uneven load characteristics of China’s air passengernetwork are mainly determined by the air passenger networks of the four major aviation groups,and The high-average nature of the network is greatly affected by the passenger network of small airlines.2)From the perspective of multilayer networks,the structural characteristics of China’s air passenger network under weighted conditions are studied.First,use the latest flight data to use the total passenger throughput under the ideal conditions between all airport nodes in the network within a week as the weight of the corresponding network edge,thereby constructing a single-layer and multi-layer aggregation weighted node Air passenger network.Next,the influence of the above weighted network and the corresponding unweighted network under the data on each structural characteristic parameter is compared and analyzed.The results show that whether it is a single-layer network or a multi-layer network aggregated by these single-layer networks,it shows a great difference in the cases of no power and empowerment,and the results obtained by empowerment can be more in line with the actual network The situation and the relative pros and cons of the structural characteristics of each network are truly reflected,thereby making the network management and performance improvement targeted.
