The power consumption of centrifugal loads such as fans and pumps driven by motors accounts for more than 30% of China’s total power consumption;the shaft power of centrifugal loads is proportional to the cubic speed,that is,The shaft power of the centrifugal load is proportional to the cubic power of the rotation speed,that is,the shaft power will decrease cubically after the rotation speed is reduced.Therefore,the research on centrifugal load speed regulation has great theoretical significance and application value.By analyzing and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the existing speed regulation methods,a speed-regulating asynchronous magnetic coupler(SRAMC)based on the cage rotor of asynchronous motor is proposed,which has the advantages of light-load starting and overload protection.When it is applied to centrifugal load speed regulation,it has good energy saving effect.The main research contents of this article are as follows:(1)The mechanical structure and operation principle of SRAMC are analyzed;Based on the principle of electromagnetic field,the flux density of SRAMC air gap is analyzed by analytic method.The mathematical model of cage induced current and electromagnetic torque are established,and the operation characteristics of SRAMC are analyzed in depth.(2)Based on the characteristics of the centrifugal load,the flow adjustment method of the centrifugal load is introduced.The advantages and disadvantages of pole changing,frequency conversion and variable slip speed regulation are compared,and the advantages of SRAMC for centrifugal load speed regulation are pointed out.The loss and energy-saving characteristics of SRAMC are established,and the relationship model between the power loss and energy-saving benefit and the slip rate in the SRAMC speed regulation process is established.(3)The SRAMC simulation model is established,and the air gap magnetic field,cage current and output torque of SRAMC are calculated by Ansoft Maxwell software.The speed regulation and energy saving characteristics of SRAMC applied to centrifugal load are obtained.The correctness of the model is verified by comparing the simulation results with the model.(4)According to the structural parameters of SRAMC established by the theoretical model and simulation results,an experimental prototype of SRAMC is developed;a test platform of transmission performance of SRAMC is built,and the torque loading test under different slip conditions is carried out on the SRAMC test prototype,which verifies the correctness of the theoretical model and finite element analysis of SRAMC.
