The maintenance and operation of data center servers has become a key research area, and the heat dissipation of data centers is the focus. In order to ensure the normal operation of the server in the rack, the maximum temperature of the inlet of the rack should be lowered;therefore, the data center cold channel thermal cycle is the current research focus. In this paper, the airflow in the cold channel of the data center is studied, and the optimization of the mixing of hot and cold airflow is studied. The main research work includes:(1)By modeling the existing data center and simulating the data center through CFD technology, the existing problems are analyzed. After the simulation,it is found that the existing data center has a non-uniform distribution of cold airflow, and the rack is closer to the air conditioner, and the inlet temperature of the rack is higher. At the same time, thermal cycling is likely to occur at the top of the rack.(2)In order to eliminate the adverse effects of air heat cycle on the rack as much as possible, choose to add an adjustable fan to eliminate the place where the air heat cycle is relatively strong.Add a fan to the cold aisle and select the fan height, exit angle, and wheelbase as variables to simulate the effect of adding a fan to the cold aisle. The effect of the fan is analyzed by the temperature of the inlet of the rack and the flow rate of the air.It is found that the temperature of the rack inlet at the fan is significantly reduced. At the same time, the evaluation index is introduced, and the effect of the fan on the thermal cycle of the rack is analyzed through the calculation of the parameter.By comparing with the original data center,it was found that the air heat cycle of the rack was reduced. At the same time, compared with the cold air distribution of the entire cold channel,it was found that the fan optimizes the rack inlet temperature of the overall data center and reduces the recirculation of hot air.(3)It is determined by the gray correlation coefficient that the height and the wheelbase of the fan have a great influence on the maximum temperature of the rack.In order to explore the optimal condition of the highest temperature and the corresponding values of the three parameters of the fan,the relevant data is nonlinearly fitted to obtain the relevant expression. After the corresponding expression is obtained, the optimal solution is obtained by the optimization characteristics of the genetic algorithm.Through investigation,it can be found that the maximum temperature of the rack has dropped by 2.33℃.It can be seen from the calculation that the heat cycle consumption of the two rack close to the air conditioner after adding the fan is reduced by 3 percentage points and 4 percentage points respectively.(4)At the same time, the second position of the fan is explored, and it is found that the height and the wheelbase of the fan have different effects on the rack and the maximum temperature. Then the effect of the two fans on the cold aisle is analyzed. It can be found through analysis that the optimal temperature is 0.5℃ lower than the optimal temperature of the single fan.
