As an important part of vehicle,the suspension’s elastic kinematics characteristics will influence the vehicle’s handling stability,ride comfort and so on directly.So it is an important way to optimize suspension system to improve automobile performance.As an important elastic component of suspension,elastic rubber bushings exist in the joint of most suspension components,so it is an effective way to research and optimize bushings to improve automobile performance.The paper just focuses on the suspension bushing stiffness’influence to the kinematics characteristics so as to improve handling stability.The main contents include:(1)Analyze and summarize the influence of kinematics characteristics evaluation index——wheel alignment parameters to the vehicle travel and suspension rubber bushings’structure and property.(2)Build double wishbone suspension mathematical model.Without considering elastic components,research the components’ kinematic relation.Extract parameter information from the 3D model,use Adams/Car to build suspension model.According to the parameter measured,add elastic bushings to the suspension.(3)Do parallel round jump test to the double wishbone suspension model.By using Adams/Insight to do sensitivity analysis and find out the basic bushing stiffness influence factors to elastic kinematic characteristics.Adjust these bushing stiffness respectively,research everyone’s influence way and level.(4)Treat the bushing stiffness which is screened by sensitivity analysis as optimization factors,treat wheel alignment parameters as optimized objects,integrate Adams/Car and Isight,use NSGA-IIalgorithm to do multi-objective optimization to improve suspension elastic kinematic characteristics.(5)Use Hypermesh to do mesh generation,weld,build super-element,then import it into Adams/Car to build rigid-flexible coupling model.Assembly suspensions,power system,brake system and tires into finished automobile.According to national standard handling stability test method and evaluation criterion,analysis the the differences of handling stability before and after optimization.According to national standard ride comfort test method,analysis the ride comfort of finished automobile model after optimization.
