With the aggravation of the aging population and the increase of the number of disabled people,China’s demand for equipment to help the elderly and the disabled is gradually increasing.In the market,there are many disadvantages of the wheelchair,such as complex structure,can only be used in the process of climbing,the user’s posture can not be kept level,and other people’s assistance is needed in the process of climbing.This paper studies and designs a wheel shoe compound electric climbing wheelchair,which can not only drive on flat ground,but also help users climb stairs independently.Based on the analysis of the research status of climbing wheelchair at home and abroad,the overall scheme of electric climbing wheelchair is determined,and the wheel shoe composite design is adopted.The mechanical system of electric climbing wheelchair mainly includes wheel shoe switching mechanism,wheel walking mechanism,crawler ladder structure and seat adjustment mechanism.According to the stair standard and ergonomics standard,the virtual prototype size is determined,and the virtual prototype modeling is completed with Solidworks 3D software.Based on the mechanical structure design,the movement mode of the electric climbing wheelchair is analyzed,including the movement analysis of the electric climbing wheelchair in the process of going up and down,and the movement analysis of the wheel shoe switching process.The stability of the electric climbing wheelchair is judged,and the potential energy change method is used to calculate the stability of the electric climbing wheelchair.The calculation shows that the minimum stability of the electric climbing wheelchair is 0.2 in the process of going up and down the stairs,and there is a certain margin of stability.Based on ADAMS software,the operation of the electric climbing wheelchair is simulated,and the wheel shoe switching process of the electric climbing wheelchair is simulated.According to the simulation results,the finite element analysis of the key parts of the electric climbing wheelchair is carried out by using ANSYS Workbench to verify the strength of the key parts of the electric climbing wheelchair.The results of simulation and finite element analysis show that the overall structure of the electric climbing wheelchair meets the design requirements,and the structural strength of the key parts also meets the design requirements.
