Plate rubber bearing,high damping rubber bearing and lead rubber bearing are all made of natural rubber,and the durability problems such as aging are prominent.The metal rubber bearing is woven by stainless steel wire,which has good durability.At present,researchers have done relevant studies on the vertical performance of metal rubber bearing,and the bearing shows good stiffness and bearing capacity.However,in practical engineering application,the bearing not only needs good vertical bearing capacity,but also good horizontal shear mechanical properties under various service conditions,so as to adapt to the relative displacement between beam and pier.Therefore,the research on the horizontal shear mechanical properties of metal rubber bearings has certain theoretical and practical significance.In this paper,the horizontal shear performance of metal rubber bearing is studied by compression shear test.(1)Through extensive investigations of metal rubber materials,the related factors that may affect the shear strain performance of metal rubber bearings are obtained,including the material type of metal wire,wire diameter,diameter of spiral coil and density of metal rubber.After selecting the relevant parameters,the test bearing is processed.(2)Through the compression shear test of metal rubber bearing,the shear mechanical properties of the bearing under different shear strain,compression stress and loading frequency are studied,and the main factors affecting the shear mechanical properties of the bearing are obtained.(3)The variation of the mechanical properties of the bearing under repeated shear is investigated,and the stability of the horizontal shear hysteretic behavior of the bearing is evaluated;The ultimate shear bearing capacity of metal rubber bearing is studied by large shear strain test.(4)Based on the compression shear test of metal rubber bearing,the horizontal hysteretic curves of the bearing under different working conditions are obtained,and the variation laws of mechanical parameters such as equivalent stiffness,equivalent damping ratio,stiffness after yield,yield force and hysteretic energy consumption under different stress states are calculated and analyzed.(5)Based on MATLAB platform,bouc Wen model is used to analyze the shear hysteretic curve of metal rubber bearing.It is verified that the Bouc-Wen model can simulate the hysteresis curve of the metal rubber bearing well,and bouc Wen model can be used as the restoring force model of metal rubber bearing for seismic response analysis.
