By providing services on the edge side closer to user terminals,edge computing provides an effective solution to ensure the delay demand of business of power Internet of Things.However,the uneven spatial and temporal distribution of business requests in the edge network leads to a significant difference in business busyness between edge nodes.As a result,some of the edge nodes are too busy to timely meet business’s requirement of connection and processing,while resources of the others are not fully utilized.Due to the natural lightweight and portability,container migration has become a critical technology for load balancing.Therefore,research on container migration for load balancing in edge network under power Internet of Things is of great significance for the improvement of overall performance of power Internet of Things.However,the existing container migration strategies only rely on static threshold of resource utilization or linear regression and other predictive techniques to determine the timing of container migration,which ignores the overall situation of the edge network,and only taking into consideration the selection of the migration container from the perspective of single resource correlation,ignoring the running state of the business carried by containers.In addition,the existing container migration strategy for load balancing in cloud and fog environment have no regard for the migration cost,which cannot meet the QoS requirements of some delay sensitive services in edge computing.In order to solve the problem of high migration cost caused by the single destination of container migration,this paper proposes a container migration mechanism for load balancing in edge network.Firstly,a container migration-based decision-making method is designed,which includes determining the timing of container migration based on the load differentiation matrix model,establishing a container migration model based on the comprehensive consideration of load balancing and migration costs and calculating the migration priority of containers from the perspectives of resource correlation and business relevance,thus guiding the selection and deployment of containers.Then,a container migration algorithm based on the modified Ant Colony System is designed to obtain the global optimal container migration decision result.The simulation results show that the container migration mechanism proposed in this paper can realize the load balancing of edge network on the premise of satisfying the demand of business in power Internet of Things.Aiming at users’ visual operation requirements for functions such as resource monitoring,load balancing detection,container migration decision,resource management and countless others,a container migration simulation module based on the Python Flask Web framework is designed and implemented.This paper describes in detail the requirements analysis and architecture of the container migration simulation module,designs and implements the resource monitoring,migration management,resource management and other functional modules,and tests the module from two aspects of function and performance.The test results show that the container migration simulation module designed in this paper can accurately and efficiently perform operations such as resource monitoring,container migration management and resource management,meeting the module’s functional and performance requirements.
