Hydropower energy,as a cheap and renewable clean energy,is an important part of China’s power system.How to use water resources reasonably and efficiently is of great significance to improve the structure of energy system in China.Optimal operation of hydropower station is a very important link in the process of utilizing water resources.It can maximize the power generation efficiency of hydropower station and make full use of water resources on the basis of little increase of operating cost of hydropower station.Based on the analysis of the system characteristics and short-term power generation planning variables of cascade hydropower stations,the minimum energy consumption target of cascade is improved by energy efficiency coefficient,and the optimal dispatching model with the minimum energy consumption of cascade is established;Secondly,on the basis of self optimization simulation technology,an improved self optimization simulation technology is proposed,which embeds dynamic programming into the solution process of self optimization simulation technology to make up for the shortcomings of long time-consuming dynamic specification calculation,and alleviate the "dimension disaster"problem,Dynamic programming is used to solve the inner plant economic operation sub model.The results of dynamic programming directly provide data support for self optimization simulation technology,which reduces a lot of calculation time and effectively improves the stability of the algorithm;Finally,the model and method are applied to the short-term optimal operation of Pankou Xiaoxuan cascade hydropower station,which effectively reduces the energy consumption of cascade hydropower stations,improves the efficiency of power generation and utilization of water resources.By comparing with dynamic programming,self optimization simulation,particle swarm optimization and distributed estimation,the feasibility and superiority of the model and method are verified.It provides a reference for the optimal operation of short-term power generation of cascade hydropower stations.
