Abstract/Summary:
In recent years,the increase of domestic car ownership which brings convenience to people also revealed a series of problems.For instance,the volume of road traffic accidents has increased significantly,pedestrian travel safety is threatened,and the road congestion situation is becoming increasingly severe.Thus,according to the national policy of promoting the development of Intelligent connected vehicle,there is an increasingly urgent need to form the Intelligent traffic system.To solve this issue,this paper designs and implements a remote driving system.Specifically,the remote driving system is mainly composed of two parts,i.e.,the vehicle-side and the remote driving platform.The vehicle-side device uploads the status information of the vehicle and the video stream of the vehicle surroundings to the remote driving platform in real-time.At the same time,it receives control signals from the driving simulator from the remote driving platform and sends them down for execution.Moreover,the remote driving platform displays the status data and 5-way video screen uploaded from the vehicle in real-time in the developed interface and sends control commands to the vehicle,which can realize the function of remote driving.In addition,by considering the requirement of real-time for remote control vehicles,the communication between the car and the remote driving platform is completed,in which the 5G communication technologies are utilized,so that meeting the demands of low latency and high bandwidth.At the same time,a forward collision warning strategy based on V2 X communication technology is introduced to improve the safety of remote driving.The remotely controlled vehicle can receive the status data broadcast by surrounding vehicles through V2 V communication technology and upload it to the remote driving platform to calculate the safety distance threshold through V2 I technology,so that emitting a warning sound to alert the remote driver.The main contribution can be summarized as follows:1)The development status of the Internet of Vehicles and the remote driving system is introduced in this paper.Moreover,some related works involved in the implementation of the remote driving system are presented.2)By conducting requirement analysis,the framework of the remote driving system based on 5G(Five-Generation)technology and a forward collision warning strategy based on V2X(Vehicle to Everything)technology are proposed in this work,in which the collision-before sequence is analyzed and a secure distance prediction model is designed.3)Based on the designed framework system,the functions of each module are implemented and the system is tested in a comprehensive way.Moreover,the forward collision warning and prompt functions are tested by using Panosim,and the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method is effective.
