Since the 1990 s,China has increased the investment in infrastructure construction,and the highway construction has developed rapidly and made remarkable achievements.With the increase of highway mileage,the road construction has gradually taken the maintenance as the guidance to carry out the maintenance and management of the road surface.Undeniably,there are also some problems and deficiencies,among which the road pothels are a major "disease" of the highway,with the characteristics of multiple and dispersion,which has brought a great impact on the traffic of the people,while the conventional hot material can not quickly repair the pothels,and extend the time of traffic closure.Therefore,it is imperative to develop a new kind of quick repair material for pavement pothels.This study is helpful for the popularization and application of cold repair material in practical maintenance engineering.This research analyzes the damage mechanism of the pavement potholes and summarizes the main reasons for the potholes,including factors such as hydrodynamic pressure,vehicle load,and construction quality.Based on the damage mechanism analysis,a reasonable maintenance plan is selected and developed.A quick-hardening,early-strength,quick-repairing material with certain plastic characteristics is developed.The material is polymer concrete.Polymer concrete is a mixture of polymer A material and polymer B material in a ratio of 1:1 as the only glue.Condensing materials,adding coarse and fine aggregates,through a large number of trial compounding tests,adjusting the content of each component of the material and a 4-hour mechanical characteristic test,and optimizing the best ratio of polymer concrete.In this paper,based on the best mix of polymer concrete,firstly,the materials are subjected to compressive strength test,flexural strength test,split tensile strength test,and water seepage test.By dividing the appropriate time interval to explore the law of strength over time,and observe the characteristics of material damage,so as to grasp the performance and characteristics of the rapid repair material as a whole,and comprehensively analyze the mechanical and water permeability properties of polymer concrete materials.The results show that by selecting the appropriate mixing ratio of each component of polymer concrete,the prepared polymer concrete has good road performance,is a kind of strength and growth material,and polymer concrete is a plastic material with high breaking elongation.It can offset the impact load generated by some vehicles,reduce the frequency of pothole damage,and extend the service life of the road.Secondly,the compatibility of polymer and asphalt mixture was analyzed,and ordinary asphalt mixture was prepared.The polymer was used as the binder,and passed the double-sided shear test,split tensile bond test,trabecular bending test,and rutting test.The board bonding water seepage test is explored.Among them,the shear test reflects the obvious increase in the shear strength of the asphalt concrete test block after polymer bonding;the split test splits the asphalt mixture,and then conducts the test after polymer bonding to analyze the law of strength changes;The trabecular bending test is used to explore the changes in the bending and tensile strength of the repaired trabecular;the water seepage test shows that the rut board bonded by the polymer material has excellent waterproof performance.The results show that there is good bonding performance between the polymer material and the asphalt mixture.
