Cross-country training is an important training subject for pilots in CCAR141 aviation schools, which accounts for about 1/3 of the whole aircraft time in flight training.Strategically, optimizing the cross-country network plan is an important way to fundamentally improve the efficiency of cross-country training and reduce the cost of cross-country training. Therefore,it is of great practical significance to propose a set of cross-country network design to break through some key technical bottlenecks in cross-country network for improving the quality of flight and cross-country network construction of aviation school. The main research includes the following aspects.Firstly, the demand forecasting model of civil aviation pilots is proposed.Based on the empirical perspective, the demand forecast model of civil aviation pilots is established, and the co-integration test and vector error correction of the forecast model are used Eviews 9.0 software to obtain the forecast results of civil aviation pilots’ demand, and then the causality test and impulse response function are used to complete the forecast model to ensure the reliability of the forecast results by taking the number of civil aviation pilots and the number of civil transport aircraft as input variables, and the total turnover of civil aviation transportation as the output variable. Then,it summarizes the traditional design methods of cross-country network, analyzes the restrictive factors of cross-country network design, and expounds the minimum implementation requirements of CCAR 141 on cross-country training subjects of each license level.Based on the basic principle of "first build three landing site restrictions, then determine no landing site restrictions",the cross-country training path is designed for various types of cross-country training subjects in turn, and the basic steps of the traditional design method of the cross-country network are summarized. What’s more, the feasibility of this method is verified by the actual production data of a flight aviation school. Finally, the optimal design method of cross-country network is proposed, the shortcomings of traditional design methods of cross-country network are analyzed, and the connection network model of cross-country path is constructed.Depth-first search algorithm is used to traverse the network model and form a feasible set of cross-country paths, and then the objective function is to minimize the total cost of cross-country network design.Considering the limitation of the number of base airports, the limitation of the number of pilots to be trained, and the limitation of the number of pilots flowing through each cross-country path,an optimal design model of cross-country network based on the effective set of cross-country paths is constructed. The effectiveness of this optimization method is verified by comparing the traditional design with the example.
