| With the research and development of optical fiber communication,5G communication and other services,there are higher requirements for the performance and quality of optical fiber connectors.As a multi-core optical fiber connection device,MPO can simultaneously carry up to 72 cores of fiber cores.It has a qualitative leap in transmission bandwidth and is often used in a large number of high-speed transmission network environments such as data centers and communication base stations.After the appearance of MPO connectors,traditional methods cannot detect them because of the requirement of precision to the nanometer level.They can only be measured by white light interferometry.Based on the principle of white light interferometry,this subject has studied a system capable of 3D fitting to detect the topography of the MPO connector,realizing real-time,high-precision,and high-stability detection of the MPO connector.The specific work is summarized as follows:1.The background and development of optical fiber and optical fiber communication are introduced,the structure and characteristics of MPO connectors are introduced,and the application prospects of MPO connectors are explained.2.The white light interferometry is analyzed.The principle of micro measurement is described,including the optical path of Michelson,Mirau and Linnik interferometers.The time-domain algorithms are analyzed including interpolation method and barycenter method.The frequency-domain methods include Fourier algorithm and phase shift method.3.Established a 3D inspection hardware environment for MPO,including mechanical support part,optical interference part,image acquisition part,etc.Describes the detection standards and analysis methods of MPO.The related algorithms of the 3D detector are studied,including image filtering and denoising processing,edge detection and extraction,Hough transform and phase unwrapping methods.4.Conducted a system test on the 3D detector and evaluated the overall performance of the system.A batch test of MPO products was conducted to determine the actual performance of the system in industrial inspection.The results show that the3 D inspection method can perform non-contact precision inspection of all properties of the MPO connector at the same time,and the precision reaches the nanometer level.The whole system has good measurement accuracy and stability,fast test speed,and industrial applicability. |
