With the increasing diversification and differentiation of modern construction demand, the application of high-strength steel in practical engineering is more and more extensive. It has the characteristics of high strength, light dead weight and small cross section area, but also makes the stability problem more prominent. At present, the research on the stability of high-strength steel beam-column mainly focuses on axial compression. In the design of steel structure, the overall stability coefficient of the beam-column of high strength steel is obviously improved. However,in the process of beam-column joint connection,it is also different from the actual situation to simply consider hinge and rigid connection. In view of this,in order to explore the stress characteristics of high-strength steel beam-column and the differences between the connection of frame joints and the actual situation, this paper conducts numerical simulation analysis. The main research results and innovation points are as follows:(1)Based on the finite element software, the finite element model is established according to the initial geometric defects, residual stress, geometric nonlinearity, material nonlinearity and other influencing factors. The model results were compared with the experimental results, and the variables of the influencing factors were analyzed after the model was verified to be correct.(2)The results of variable analysis show that: when the initial geometric defect of high strength steel is 1‰ of the specification, the stability coefficient is slightly higher than the standard b curve. With the increase of the ratio of flange width to thickness and the ratio of web height to thickness, the stable bearing capacity of the bending member increases linearly. With the increase of slenderness ratio and the increase of relative load eccentricity, the stable bearing capacity of the bending member decreases.(3)By comparing the out-of-plane stability formula of bending members in steel structure design standard(gb50017-2017)and steel structure design specification(gb50017-2003),it is found that due to the universal applicability of the code, there are many factors to consider, and the calculation result is conservative in the buckling stability bearing capacity of h-shaped section members welded by flame cutting edge. Then on the basis of the standard formula and the variable analysis, the relevant parameters are introduced to put forward the formula of the stable bearing capacity of hshaped section bending member with flame cutting edge, and the calculated results are compared with the finite element results, which can provide some reference for the theory and design of bending member with high strength steel.(4)The second order elastic-plastic theory and design method of steel structure design standard(gb50017-2017)are introduced in detail, and the finite element software is used for numerical simulation of considering semi-rigid connections at beam-column joints. The high strength steel semi-rigid connecting frame is analyzed by an example.
