Recently,"sense of ritual " is a very popular topic.But in fact,"sense of ritual " has existed since the remote ancient times with the emergence of ritual activities.With the development of times,many interpretations and types have been derived from it.Ritual consciousness has become an indispensable part of people’s daily life.As a kind of atmosphere," sense of ritual " exists in architecture and becomes an aesthetic experience."Ritual atmosphere" exists not only in religious buildings closely related to ritual activities,but also in other types of buildings.The ritual atmosphere in modern architecture produces an immersive aesthetic experience through the influence on people’s psychology and physiology.This kind of aesthetic experience can not only enhance the aesthetic feeling of architecture,but also influence people’s behavior.So they can produce a kind of extra-daily ritual seriousness and respond to architecture.The ritual atmosphere helps the architecture to reflect its importance and prompts people what kind of activities and behaviors should be carried out which has certain significance for the future design inspiration of the architecture.From the aesthetic point of view,the author takes the ritual atmosphere in modern architecture as the research object.The thesis analyzes the ritual atmosphere from the source and classification of the ritual sense and summarizes the characteristics of the ritual atmosphere combing with architecture,environmental psychology,sociology and other disciplines.The thesis sums up the methods of creating ritual atmosphere,so as to put forward the prospect and Enlightenment for the future architectural design.The research on the ritual atmosphere can not only enrich the architectural design techniques,but also find out the existing value and significance of the ritual atmosphere in the architectural aesthetics through the analysis of modern architectural cases.Through the research,we can explore more possibilities of architectural aesthetics.
