| Power line maintenance is turning into significant status in the actual production and daily life.UAV power line inspection has been gradually replaced manual inspection.It not only has high efficiency,but also works in complicated environment.Therefore the image processing of UAV power line is becoming more and more important.Based on the analysis of power line features,this paper proposes a method to extract power line from complex background image by optimizing Canny edge detection and combine Hough transform.The main contents of research are as follows:(1)This paper summarizes the features of the power line in the UAV image and deals with the UAV image data.That includes how to use the weighted average method to grayscale the image.Then how to utilize histogram equalization to enhance the power line features.Moreover how to apply NLM algorithm to reduce the image well while maintaining the edge details of the image.Finally it lays a foundation for the later edge detection and line extraction Foundation.(2)Firstly,the paper describes the principle of edge detection methods that has five classical edge detection operators.And it analyzes their advantages and disadvantages.Then it considers the advantages of Canny operator,combining the edge detection method of K-means clustering and improved Canny operators.Secondly,the paper selects the edge detection of UAV power line image with different background and height.Finally,the experimental results are presented by the comparative analysis.The experimental results show the optimized edge detection method.The method not only removes most of the complex background in the image,but also has a good effect on the edge detection of power line where reduces the workload of the later line extraction and improves the accuracy.(3)This paper analyzes the principle,advantages and disadvantages of the commonly using straight line extraction methods.In the view of good noise resistance and robustness of Hough transform,a morphological Hough transform is proposed for power line extraction.The results are compared with those of the traditional Hough transform and familiar points.The experimental results show that,after the edge detection based on the optimization,the experimental results of the above three line extraction methods all effectively identify the power line in the image.The traditional Hough transform takes a long time,but the Hough transform which passes through the known points reduces a certain time on the basis of ensuring the recognition effect.Hence,the Hough transform based on morphology greatly reduces the running time. |
