Face gear drive has the characteristics of simple structure,low vibration and noise,and power distribution,etc.Introducing face gear transmission into the planetary gear mechanism could optimize the supporting structure,reduce the weight of the mechanism,improve the transmission efficiency and the bearing capacity.based on the internal supply transmission of an armored vehicle.Based on the application background of an internal supply transmission of an armored vehicle,this paper designs a new type of orthogonal face gear planetary mechanism.The main research contents include:(1)According to the differential geometry and gear meshing principle,the tooth surface equations of the working tooth surface and the transition surface of the orthogonal face gear are deduced,and the conditions that the face gear does not undercut and the tip of the tooth become sharp are analyzed.The influencing factors and changing rules of the point contact trajectory of surface gear are obtained by analyzing the point contact principle of face gear;(2)Combining the demand for the replenishment transportation and the overall structure of an armored vehicle,the relationship between the quantity of replenishment at different positions of the mechanism and the relationship between the number of teeth of the planetary mechanism is determined.Then the design parameters and design methods of the face gear planetary mechanism are further determined and the stability and continuity of the replenishment transportation are verified by multi-body dynamics simulation;(3)The spur gear bidirectional modification principle is analyzed according to the involute spur gear modification theory and the modified tooth surface equation is obtained according to the differential geometry and gear meshing principle.The tooth surface contact of the face gear planetary gear mechanism before and after modification is compared and analyzed;(4)Finite element dynamic analysis of the face gear mechanism before and after the modification was carried out,and the data of tooth contact force,contact stress,transmission error and other data of the two types of mechanisms were obtained by loading tooth contact simulation analysis,and the meshing characteristics of two types of mechanisms were further compared and analyzed.
