In modern warfare,electronic countermeasure technology has become a key factor affecting the result of war.As a passive interferer for a long time,chaff is widely used in the fields of air defense and antimissile due to its advantages of cheap,convenient and efficient.Therefore,the study of the motion characteristics and scattering characteristics of the chaff clouds is particularly important in the modern war for electromagnetic initiative.In this paper,firstly,the basic principle and solution process of the linear moment method are studied in detail,the relevant formulas are derived,and the expression of the linear method of moment in calculating the RCS of chaff cloud is obtained.Then,the RCS of a single chaff and multiple chaffs are calculated by using the linear moment method and RWG basis function moment method respectively,and the correctness of the linear moment method is verified.By comparing with other basis function moment methods,it is shown that the pulse basis function can be used to reduce the number of equations and improve the calculation efficiency.Next,the theory of particle system is investigated,combining with aerodynamics as the theoretical basis of establishing the model of chaff cloud.The generation mode of chaff cloud in different scenes is analyzed,and the initial state of chaff cloud is obtained.Then,the diffusion state of chaff cloud is determined according to the stress of each chaff.At the same time,the dynamic diffusion model of chaff cloud is obtained by combining with stochastic model,and the correctness of the method is verified by comparing with the relevant data.Then,the related algorithms of parallel computing are examined.The CPU of the linear moment method is accelerated in parallel,which speeds up the process of impedance matrix filling and equation solving,so that it can calculate the scattering characteristics of chaff cloud more efficiently.The RCS of different chaff cloud models with certain scale is obtained by using MPI parallel line moment method.The influence of chaff cloud parameters and radar parameters on the RCS of chaff cloud is analyzed.According to the RCS of chaff clouds at different times in the process of motion,the change rule of electromagnetic scattering characteristics of chaff clouds from generation to diffusion is analyzed,and the evolution process of chaff cloud interference performance is obtained.Finally,the interference principle of chaff cloud is introduced,and the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of chaff cloud under beam irradiation are studied.Based on the study of the concept of near-field correlation and the RCS calculation method of the target under the beam irradiation,the scattering characteristics of several typical targets under the beam irradiation are calculated,the relationship between the antenna beam and the target RCS is discussed,and the related issues such as the local illumination are analyzed.Then,the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of the chaff cloud model under the beam irradiation are studied.
