The lack of strong connection between theory and application in teaching of industrial automation has existed for a long time.In order to develop students’ insights of key knowledge such as modeling,control algorithm,controller design and control system,it is particularly necessary to develop an automated teaching experiment platform based on industrial process.Relying on the construction project of the Liaoning Metallurgical Synthetical Automation Engineering Laboratory,the thesis selects the thickening process in the mineral processing as background.Using a virtual object with real-time control system on hardware-in-the-loop,the thesis develops a teaching experiment platform for modeling and control of thickening process.A series of teaching experiments,such as modeling,identification,controller design,can be carried out by students majoring in automation.These experiments well simulate the industrial field environment,promoting the development of teaching of industrial automation.The main works in the thesis are as follows:(1)Based on the detailed review of the existing automatic experiment teaching platforms,the thesis takes the thickening process in mineral processing as background.Aiming at a supplementary of teaching,the needs of the teaching experiment platform are analyzed in detail.(2)A mechanism model of thickening process is established as virtual objects on the hardware-in-the-loop platform based on slurry settlement,solid-liquid separation,particle solute law,Cauchy solid flux theory and mass conservation theory.(3)Teaching experiment platform for modeling and control of thickening process based on hardware-in-the-loop system is designed and developed.The hardware of the platform consists of PLC(Programmable Logic Controller),monitoring computer,controller design computer,virtual object computer and related network;software consists of virtual object function related module,conventional operation function related module,identification experiment related module and control experiment related module.The platform adopts TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol)and OPC(OLE for Process Control)to implement data communication.MATLAB is utilized to achieve mathematical modeling and identification algorithm of virtual object.WinCC(Windows Control Center)completes HMI(Human Machine Interface)of the whole platform;meanwhile STEP7 completes compilation of control algorithms and downloads to PLC controller.(4)The experimental verification of the simulation platform is carried out.Recursion of least square algorithm is used to complete the identification experiment,conventional PID(Proportion-Integral-Derivative)and cascade control is adopted in control experiment.Giving full play to the features of the platform,the switching of identification and control experiments,performance evaluation,rapid simulation,time scale transformation and HMI are provided.And what’s more,it has enhanced the practicality and efficiency of teaching experiment platforms,and will play an important role in the development of the teaching experiment of automation courses.
