| Distribution transformers are normally required in large quantities in power distribution systems,and they are often set up in residential areas.Failure or fault of the distribution transformer may cause inconvenience and panic of the public.It is absolutely important to keep the transformers running in a stable condition.However,lots of manpower are required to do the maintenance due to the large amount of the transformers in the system.The electricity power department often is not able do the maintenance regularly,and could not monitor the transformers in real time.Thus,without regular servicing,most of the transformer might be running in a "close to death" condition.This article introduces an intelligent monitoring and testing system specifically designed for distribution transformers.This system monitors the status of the distribution transformers in real time.The data are collected and analyzed,and users are able to view the data on their mobile phone directly.The system consists of a transformer data collection module,an alarm module,a data analysis module,and a smart phone APP for the client.The transformer data collector uses a PIC18F452 microcontroller module that includes data storage,signal processing,communication and power supply.Data of the transformer parameters(voltage,current,load,etc.)and operation parameters(environment temperature,etc)are collected and analyzed.The microcontroller provides data support for the whole system.The smart phone APP is developed on Android operating system.The APP collects data through WIFI communication,displays the data in graphs and stores the data in the mobile phone for future usage.The APP allows inspectors to check the transformer without physical contact,which improves the safety of the checking process.The alarm module of the system implements temperature load logic design,and creates an alarm database that arranges the data collected by the inspectors.Data analysis is the final purpose for the system.To analysis the data,expert system and decision tree method are used together.Automatic reasoning of the expert system is used first to analyze the data in the excel form,then decision tree is used to finish the data mining for the conclusion subset and generate the judgment for the running behavior of the distribution transformers.Lastly,the intelligent monitoring and testing system has gone through several field tests,and the result was successful and promising.Moreover,the advantages and disadvantages of using the system in real life are also listed in this article. |
