With the rapid development of information and communication technology(ICT),the communication needs of people have turned to the interconnection between people,people and things,and things.Global networking has become an inevitable trend.At present,the local area network or wide area network in the application of the Internet of Things usually uses a variety of wireless access methods,such as:2.4GHz-based unlimited local area network such as Wi-Fi,Bluetooth,Zigbee,and 2G\3G\4G wireless WAN.In practice,it is confirmed that there are certain shortcomings,which are reflected in the problem that long distance and low power consumption cannot be retained at the same time.Driven by this environment,based on the low power wide area network(LPWAN)technology,it can emerge from time to time,which can take into account both long distance and low power consumption.This paper has fully studied the development status of the electric energy meter industry and the Internet of Things communication industry,analyzed and compared the existing wireless meter reading technologies,and on this basis,combined with the characteristics and advantages of low power WAN technology,designed a LoRa-based IoT meter reading system.The system consists of four parts:meter terminal nodes,LoRa gateways,cloud platform servers,and third-party clients.First,the SX1278 radio frequency chip is used to design and develop an energy meter terminal node based on LoRa technology,thereby forming a wireless transmission network.Secondly,the LoRa gateway is used to complete the protocol conversion from the terminal node to the upper server,so that the system can perform data interaction with the cloud platform.Finally,through the OneNET cloud platform to complete the collection and display of power information,and use the API interface dedicated to third-party development to transfer the cloud platform data to the web client,and finally complete the design of the entire meter reading system.The LoRa meter reading system platform can complete a series of meter management tasks such as voltage monitoring and harmonic detection.The front end of the B/S architecture written with Eclipse analyzes the user’s electricity usage,including:remaining electricity,used electricity,any time analysis of the electricity segment.The meter reading system adopting LoRa technology realizes the data collection and long-distance transmission of electric power information,has the characteristics of high reliability,convenient networking,etc.,and effectively manages the electric power data of the electric energy meter terminal nodes.It has promoted the construction of smart cities and has broad application prospects.
