Abstract/Summary:
Washing machine drainage pump as an important part of the washing machine,its efficiency affects the energy consumption of the washing machine directly,washing machine pump efficiency optimization has become an important way for sustainable development,energy saving and emission reduction.With the development of computer fluid dynamics and its wide application in the analysis of three-dimensional flow field of fluid machinery,it has great significance and market prospect to use the numerical simulation technology to achieve the optimization about the efficiency of the washing machine’s drainage pump.In view of the low efficiency of the existing washing machine’s drainage pump,the orthogonal experiment method was adopted to solve the orthogonal experimental arrangement by using numerical simulation technology.This optimization goal: the efficiency is the highest while the pump flow rate is 20L/min,and the guaranteed hydraulic head is about 1.20 m.Firstly,the numerical simulation of the original pump was carried out,the performance curve of the pump was analyzed,and compared with the performance parameters which were given by the company,and the correctness of the model establishment was verified.Secondly,theoretical analysis shows that there are five main factors affecting efficiency and hydraulic head(blade number,impeller outer diameter,blade width,blade thickness,volute diameter).The selected impeller outer diameter,number of blades,and volute diameter were subjected to orthogonal experiments and CFX software was used to solve the arrangement of orthogonal experiments.After analyzed the influence about the three factors on the performance of the pump we a obtained the first set of optimized structural parameters.With this structure,its efficiency is5.2% higher than that of the original pump.Through the force analysis of solid-liquidcoupling about the water pump which was optimized preliminarily.We found that,the blade meets the force requirements and has a large thickness margin.The analysis shows that the blade thickness has a great influence on the pump efficiency.Therefore,the blade thickness,impeller outer diameter,and blade width are selected for orthogonal experiments,and the orthogonal experimental arrangement is solved with CFX software.The second set of optimized structural parameters was obtained by analyzing and the efficiency of the structure was improved by 2.7% compared to the initial optimization.Thirdly,the anti-cavitation performance of the pump before optimization,preliminary optimization,and re-optimization was analyzed.No cavitation will occur in the three pumps under normal working conditions.Fourthly,complete the test bench hardware design according to the test requirements of the washing machine drain pump.Complete the test bench software design with LabVIEW software.After test the theoretically designed pump we found that,when the flow rate was 20L/min and the hydraulic head was about 1.2m,the initial optimization of the pump efficiency was increased by about 4%,and the re-optimization increased about 1% relative to the initial optimization of the pump efficiency.
