Expansive soil roadbed is a kind of special roadbed which is rich in expansive clay minerals itself and its volume occurs significantly expansion and contraction and its strength drastically degradation under alternating wet and dry environment effects,it has great harmfulness.The expansive soil disasters increasing significantly along with the high-speed railway construction continuously extend to the high-cold area in our country.Study on high-speed railway expansive soil engineering characteristics in high-cold area has great significance on high-speed rail construction in this area.This article relying on a section of expansive soil deep cutting engineering in the newly built Jilin to Tumen to Hunchun high-speed railway,systematically studied high-speed rail expansive soil geotechnical engineering characteristics in high-cold area through laboratory soil test,deformation monitoring at the scene and ABAQUS software simulation analysis based on systematically reference and analyzed domestic and foreign literature,provided great reference value for the construction of similar projects.Through laboratory soil test researched the natural moisture content and density,specific gravity,critical moisture,particle size analysis,optimum moisture content and free swelling ratio of expansive soil in this area,use expansive soil discriminating method discriminant the expansive soil in this area;through consolidation test research its deformation characteristics and direct shear test researched its strength characteristics under different moisture content and compactness;finally through no-load swelling ratio test,linear swelling ratio test and shrinkage test researched the swelling-shrinkage properties of expansive soil under different moisture content and compactness.With a section of newly built Jilin to Tumen to Hunchun high-speed railway as the research object,selected the section of anti-slide pile B3and C4 embedding test tube at the scene embedding deformation monitoring components and data collection,analysis and obtained the deformation law after construction of B3 and C4 anti-slide piles.This article also use ABAQUS large scale finite element analysis software researched expansive soil cutting slope stability in this area based on laboratory soil test and test at the scene.Through analysis the slope stability in different gradient and different strength,the slope stability before and after embedding anti-slide piles and retaining wall,obtained reasonable slope gradient and the influence factors to slope stability of embedding anti-slide piles and retaining wall,and analyzed slope deformation and stability combined with expansive soil slope field monitoring data.
