Ecological space not only plays an important role in realizing regional ecological security and maintaining regional ecosystem stability, but also an indispensable carrier for human life support and well-being.However,since the 21st century,China’s economy has entered a period of rapid development, the level of urbanization has been rapidly promoted, the urban population has increased sharply, and the disorderly development and expansion of urban built-up areas have led to the occupation of ecological space, the continuous reduction and fragmentation of area, and triggered a series of environmental problems, such as urban heat island effect, soil erosion, air pollution, water pollution, resource shortage, etc,The emergence of these problems will not only seriously threaten regional ecological security and ecosystem stability, but also seriously affect people’s living environment, resulting in the decline of quality of life and happiness index. As the economic and population center of Yunnan Province,Central Yunnan Urban Agglomeration is also a fragile area of regional ecological environment.Accurately identify its ecological space scope, scientifically analyze the quality of ecological space and its driving force, and make great contributions to realizing regional ecological security, improving the quality of ecological space, promoting the construction of ecological civilization It is of great significance to promote the harmonious unity of regional economic development and environmental protection. This paper takes the central Yunnan urban agglomeration as the research object,on the basis of defining the scope of its ecological space, taking 1km×1km grid as the evaluation unit, using land use data,DEM data,NDVI data, water resources data, karst lithology data and socio-economic data.Six indexes including biological abundance index, vegetation cover index, water density index, land vulnerability index, rocky desertification sensitivity index and human activity index were selected to comprehensively evaluate the eco-spatial quality of urban agglomeration in central Yunnan from 2000 to 2020.Based on the evaluation results, the driving forces of the dynamic changes of eco-spatial quality are analyzed from three aspects:natural factors,socio-economic factors and policy planning factors. Finally, according to the research results, the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the quality of ecological space are put forward. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Ecological spatial pattern:from 2000 to 2020,the ecological spatial area of urban agglomeration in Central Yunnan showed a continuous downward trend.During the 20-year period, the ecological spatial area decreased by 1273.79 km~2,accounting for 1.14%of the total area; From the change of ecological space land types, except for the rising trend of water area, the area of other ecological space land shows a downward trend,of which the most obvious decline is grassland, which is 713.75km~2.(2)Ecological spatial quality pattern:From 2000 to 2020,the average value of the comprehensive index of ecological space quality of urban agglomerations in Central Yunnan was between 61.29-65.85.The ecological space quality is generally good, and the ecological space quality in the west of urban agglomerations is higher than that in the East as a whole; From the perspective of districts and counties, the overall ecological space quality of districts and counties in the central Yunnan Urban Agglomeration is good and the difference is small.Among them, the best ecological space quality is Eshan County,Xinping County and Yuanjiang County, and the worst is Dongchuan District,Yuanmou County and Luliang County.(3)Dynamic change characteristics of ecological spatial quality:from 2000 to2020,the area of ecological space quality of urban agglomeration in Central Yunnan showed a trend of improvement was 83482.95 km~2,accounting for 76.9%of the total area of ecological space, and the area showing a trend of deterioration was 10526.072km~2,accounting for only 9.69%of the total area of ecological space. The quality of ecological space improved significantly; From the perspective of districts and counties, except Guandu District,Chenggong District,Jiangchuan District,Tonghai County,Yuanjiang County and Jianshui County, the ecological space quality of all other districts and counties showed an improvement trend.(4)Driving force analysis:This paper analyzes the driving force of the dynamic change of the ecological space quality of urban agglomerations in Central Yunnan from three aspects:natural factors,socio-economic factors and policy planning factors. The results show that the ecological space quality first becomes worse and then becomes better with the rise of altitude, and first becomes better and then becomes worse with the increase of slope; The impact of various social and economic factors on the quality of ecological space shows obvious spatial heterogeneity.Among them, population density,built-up area and the number of tourists mainly have a negative impact on the quality of ecological space,GDP and forest coverage mainly have a positive impact on the quality of ecological space, and urbanization rate has a negative impact on the quality of ecological space;Policy planning factors also play a significant role in improving the quality of ecological space.(5)Countermeasures for improving the quality of ecological space:Based on the research results, the following six countermeasures for improving the quality of ecological space are put forward.(1)Strengthen the planning and control of ecological space to ensure that the area of ecological space does not decrease;(2)Promote the coordination and unity of social and economic development and the improvement of ecological space quality;(3)Accelerate the introduction of environmental protection regulations and policies for Urban Agglomerations in Central Yunnan;(4)Improve the public participation system to ensure the effective promotion of ecological construction;(5)Improve the ecological environment monitoring system;(6)Implement hierarchical control of ecological space.
