Hydrogen energy,which is the focus of energy development in the future,is a clean,efficient and sustainable energy with a broad market prospect.The production of organic solid waste is increasing year by year.The process of hydrogen production from waste can reduce the environmental impact and is of great significance to realize resource recycling.In this paper,the hydrogen production process by plasma gasification using organic solid waste as feedstock is proposed.The process modeling of hydrogen production processes by plasma gasification from municipal sludge/macroalgae/end-oflife tyres is carried out,and the comprehensive analysis of thermodynamic efficiency and economic benefit are conducted.Two different hydrogen production processes by plasma gasification of municipal sludge are developed.The hydrogen production process by plasma gasification of municipal sludge has higher hydrogen production capacity,and the amount of hydrogen converted by per unit of municipal sludge is 21.22% higher than that of hydrogen production process by plasma gasification coupling with chemical looping.The hydrogen production process by plasma gasification coupling with chemical looping has a higher thermodynamic efficiency,up to 74.14%,and its total investment and product cost are 5.73% and 31.49% lower than that of hydrogen production processes by plasma gasification of municipal sludge process,respectively.Taking cyanobacteria,enteromorpha and sargassum as feedstocks,the influence of waste composition on hydrogen production processes by plasma gasification are studied.The results show that the C and H elements of waste are the main factors affecting the hydrogen production capacity.Therefore,the hydrogen production capacity of cyanobacteria and enteromorpha plasma gasification process is greater than that of sargassum process.On the other hand,the moisture content of waste is another factor affecting the gasification efficiency.Therefore,the efficiency of enteromorpha gasification process are 3.87% and 3.63% higher than that of cyanobacteria and sargassum process respectively.So,the drying pretreatment of macroalgae is crucial to improve the efficiency of hydrogen production process by plasma gasification.In order to further explore the influence of gasification agent on plasma gasification process,the hydrogen production process of end-of-life tyres by plasma gasification with air/oxygen-enriched air/air + steam as gasification agent is studied.Due to the high reducing component content of end-of-life tyres,the carbon conversion rate of air gasification is 14.66%.Therefore,the oxygen concentration in the air is increased to improve the incomplete oxidation degree of end-of-life tyres,but the gasification efficiency of oxygen-enriched air is increased by 13.08%.Therefore,a hydrogen production process by plasma gasification with air + steam is proposed,and its carbon conversion rate can reach more than 99%.Moreover,through the research and comparison of carbon capture process suitable for shift syngas,we found that the efficiency of rectisol process can be as high as 46%,which is about 10% higher than the traditional amine absorption process.
