Abstract/Summary:
Liquid crystal monomers(LCMs)are widely used in the display of various electronic products, because of unique physical and chemical properties. In recent years, the production and usage has been increasing. However, due to the short life cycle of such products,a lot of LCMs are discharged into the environment every year, causing serious harm to the environment. In response to this problem, this study used the measurement of the octanol/water partition coefficient(log Kow)of LCMs and the enrichment and purification in zebrafish to determine whether such compounds are bioaccumulative, and then evaluate their entry into the environment Ecological risks. In the study,39 LCMs were selected as target compounds. The theoretical value of the octanol/water partition coefficient(log Kow)of LCMs was obtained by EPI Suite software, and the experimental value was measured by the traditional shake flask method. Then the two data were compared. The results show that the theoretical and experimental values of only 12biphenyl LCMs were in good agreement, and the log Kow values of the remaining terphenyl and tetraphenyl compounds are far from each other.Based on this, this study developed a QSAR model to predicted the log Kow of LCMs based on the molecular structure descriptors and experimental values by multiple linear regression.Compared with the traditional model, this model has better stability and predictability. In this study, zebrafish was used as the test organism. The bioaccumulation, purification and tissue distribution of 39 LCMs in zebrafish were investigated.Analysis of the data found that LCMs have a large bioconcentration factor(BCF),which can be significantly enriched in zebrafish. After the same purification time, the purification rate(p)of LCMs in female fish was significantly higher than that in male fish(t-test,p<0.05).The enrichment concentration in zebrafish decreases with the increase of the number of carbon rings in LCMs.By analyzing the concentration distribution of LCMs in zebrafish, and using the concentration distribution ofΣ39LCMs in different organs as the standard for trend correlation analysis(p<0.05),it was found that the concentration ofΣ39LCMs in the intestine was significantly higher than that in other organs, and there were 34 species The distribution of LCMs is the same.
