There are two main considerations in the route design--safety and economy.Due to the characteristics of high altitude,low temperature,variable climate and complex topography,Ya Kang expressways tend to be more restricted than expressways in plain and hilly areas.In order to reveal the route running characteristics of the Yakang Expressway and establish a comprehensive fuel consumption model for the Yakang Expressway,dynamic simulation software was used to simulate the driving characteristics of different weather,working conditions,and vehicles on the entire line and special sections of the Yakang Expressway.Running speed,lateral acceleration,and trajectory lateral offset values are proposed to evaluate the safety of the Yakang Expressway route.The operating speed was measured on site and compared with software simulation results and operating speed calculation results.In addition,a car equipped with a fuel consumption meter was used to measure the fuel consumption at different longitudinal slopes and speeds when driving on the Yakang Expressway,and a comprehensive fuel consumption model suitable for the Yakang Expressway was established for route design and users of the Yakang Expressway.Cost calculation provides engineering basis and reference.Through the safety simulation and on-site measurement of the entire line,the Yakang high-speed route design meets the design speed of 80km/h,and the running speed can reach 100km/h or more.However,for safety and comfort considerations,it is recommended that the driving speed be controlled at 100 km within /h,the speed limit of the tunnel section is controlled below 80km/h.Under ice and snow conditions,it is recommended that the driving speed be controlled within 80km/h.The high-altitude expressway should strictly control the longitudinal slope of 3% and above,and the slope length should not be set too long.Based on the design speed(80km/h)not less than 20km/h,when the longitudinal slope is 3%,the slope length should not exceed 700m;when the longitudinal slope is 4%,the slope length should not exceed 500m;when the longitudinal slope is 5 %,the slope length should not exceed300 m.If not satisfied,you should consider setting up a climbing lane.Through the model study of the Yakang Expressway fuel consumption,it is found that fuel consumption has a quadratic relationship with vehicle speed and is proportional to the longitudinal slope.The best economical speed for a 1.6L small-displacement car is about 90km/h,and the Yakang high-speed design speed is 80km/h.It has good fuel economy.At this time,the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers(1.6L small displacement self-priming car)is about 6L/100 km.A comprehensive fuel consumption model for passenger cars suitable for Yakang Expressway was established.
