In the past years,due to the weak environmental awareness of the public and incomplete pollution control and other historical reasons,the water environmental pollution in Xiantao section of Tongshun River has posed a serious threat to the local water ecology and sustainable economic development,and the environmental pollution control of Tongshun River is imminent.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to carry out the investigation of the water environment of Tongshun River and put forward the corresponding comprehensive management plan for the basin,which can improve the water environment quality and improve the water quality standard of the basin.Aiming at the problem of water environment pollution in the Xiantao section of the Tongshun River,this article is based on water environment analysis methods and geophysical exploration techniques,through literature review,data collection,field surveys,water quality data,hydrological data,water environment data and geophysical data collection.Analyze the pollution load of the river,the status quo of water quality,the endogenous pollutants of the river and the river’s water environmental capacity.The main research work and conclusions are as follows:(1)The feasibility of detecting the depth of river sediment by ground penetrating radar is studied.GPR is mainly used in loss-free media.However,due to the strong absorption and attenuation effect of water on electromagnetic waves,the data at the bottom of the river may not be collected.In this paper,the field test proves that the low frequency antenna of 40MHz can be used to detect the bottom of the river channel.Two survey lines were laid out in Tongshun River,and the radar data were collected by low-frequency antenna.The original data were obtained and processed by Greswin2data processing software.on this basis,the morphology and thickness of the sediment of the river channel are explained.According to the data analysis results and the historical relevant sediment thickness data,the sediment thickness of the Tongshun River is determined to be about 0.3m.According to the estimation of pollutant content data in the sediment,the total amount of COD,NH3-N and TP in the sediment is respectively266,300 t,12,500 t and 10,100 t.(2)According to the data analysis and field investigation results,the water quality sampling scheme of Tongshun River was established.According to the scheme,a total of 16 sampling points was set along the river.Water samples were collected at fixed points and unscheduled times in different periods,and the concentrations of COD,NH3-N and TP of the samples were measured.According to the water quality stage management goal of river in Hubei Province,the water quality will reach the surfaceⅣclass water in 2020,and the whole basin will reach the class water quality in 2022.Single factor evaluation method and Nemero pollution index method are used to evaluate the water quality.TakingⅢtype water as the evaluation standard,the evaluation results show that the whole water body is in a state of pollution.TakingⅣwater as the evaluation standard,the evaluation results show that the water body is clean as a whole.(3)According to the basic data of Xiantao Statistical Yearbook in 2019,the pollutant discharge coefficient method was used to calculate the pollution load of pollution sources,and the pollution load of COD,NH3-N and TP were 16576.5t/a,2053.0t/a and 637.4t/a respectively.Equal standard pollution load method was used to evaluate the pollution sources,and the evaluation results showed that the pollutants mainly came from livestock and poultry breeding pollution,planting pollution and living pollution.(4)According to the phased water quality management objectives of Tongshun River in Hubei Province and the hydrological characteristics of river,a one-dimensional water quality model was adopted to calculate the water pollution carrying capacity.TakingⅢtype water as the water quality control target,the calculation results show that the river has no residual pollutant carrying capacity.The COD,NH3-N and TP carrying capacity were calculated to be 451.04t/a,36.48t/a and 4.25t/a,respectively,withⅣwater on the surface as the water quality control target.Combined with the investigation of the current situation of water environment and the analysis results of relevant data,the analytic hierarchy process is adopted to allocate the total allowable pollutant discharge and determine the pollutant reduction amount in each administrative region.And from the industrial pollution sources,rural sewage,planting industry,livestock and poultry breeding and river water,water surface,bottom mud,bank slope pollution control scheme design.A scheme for monitoring the distribution characteristics and thickness of river sediment by ground penetrating radar has been developed.The aim is to improve the water environment of Tongshun River Basin and reduce the risk of water pollution.
