| The cyclone separator is a common gas-liquid centrifugal separation equipment.The commonly used structures are mainly cyclone plate type,spiral type and cyclone separator.Axial guide vane cyclones can be divided into the the reverse-flow and uni-flow type type according to the direction of gas flow.Scholars have conducted a lot of research on the application of the two forms,but there has been few comparations for the two type of cyclone separators under the same condition.In this paper,a numerical simulation method was used to conduct a comparative study of different cyclone gas-liquid separators,so as to provide support for reasonable selection of gas-liquid separators.The research content and conclusions are as follows:(1)Two guide vane structures(swirl plate and single spiral)were designed.Under the same gas processing volume and droplet concentration,the gas flow field and separation performance of reverse-flow and the uni-flow of the two guide structures were compared.The results show that the efficiency and pressure drop of the spiral guide are higher than that of the spiral plate.The tangential velocity of the gas in the separation space of the uni-flow is greater than that of the reverse flow,while the axial velocity is lower than that of the reverse flow.Moreover,the uni-flow has higher separation efficiency and lower pressure drop.Therefore,the uni-flow cyclone has the advantage in the application of gas-liquid separation.(2)A set of design method for a cyclone umbrella was summarized.The flow field and separation performance of the cyclone umbrella and the cyclone plate were compared under the same perforation area and gas volume.The results show that the swirling capacity and the tangential velocity of the cyclone plate are stronger than that of the cyclone umbrella.Therefore,the separation efficiency is also higher than that of the cyclone umbrella,but the pressure drop is the cyclone plate is higher.(3)The internal flow field of the cyclone umbrella was analyzed.The structure of cyclone umbrella(separation space and exhaust pipe)was improved by comparing the flow field and separation performance of five separation space distances and four structures of the vortex finder.Comparation of separation space distances shows that the optimal separation distance of the cyclone umbrella is 0.6 ~1.3D.And the research of the vortex finder structures shows that the pressure drop of the double-sleeve A type is20% lower than that of the reference type;the separation efficiency of the reference type structure and the double sleeve A type is basically the same.(4)By analyzing the pressure drop composition of the uni-flow separator,a dimensionless number Lo was introduced with dimensionless analysis method.the pure air pressure drop model of the uni-flow separator was established.By comparing with the experimental data,the proposed pressure drop model has a relatively accurate result. |
