The kitchen storage in China started late,and most of them directly follow the foreign storage methods.However,due to the great differences between China’s food culture and that of foreign countries,the existing kitchen storage design can not well meet the Chinese people’s demand for kitchen storage.Given the vast territory and complex geographical environment,different food habits have been formed as well,not only in the process and methods of food preparation,but also in the selection of kitchen utensils and the storage of ingredients.However,the existing kitchen products are not a good solution to the problem of kitchen storage with regional characteristics.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the kitchen storage from the perspective of food culture,in order to finally explore the design of kitchen storage in line with China’s food culture.On such basis,this paper first discusses the user demands of kitchen storage products from the macro level,then analyzes the influence of different food culture on kitchen storage design,and puts forward the design directions of kitchen storage products.Using the methods of literature analysis,investigation,data analysis and fusion of large and small data,this paper provides a systematic discussion of the topic and puts forward the corresponding reference for researchers in kitchen storage,regional diets and related fields through the study.The theoretical part of the study focuses on the current state of related research,involving the food culture,kitchen storage and multi-source data.Firstly,the author attempts to analyze the content and trends of food culture from both domestic and international perspectives;Secondly,this paper analyzes the current state of research on kitchen storage in terms of storage theory,storage properties and storage methods;and then provides theoretical support for the study on the basis of current state analysis on multi-source data.In the design analysis section,the existing kitchen storage market and users are researched by using the fusion of large and small data,in an attempt to uncover deeper information related to users and provide a scientific basis for the design practice in the later section;and users are researched under food differences,taking the regions where Lu(Shandong Province)and Hui(Anhui Province)cuisine are located as examples,and the demand as well as behaviors of users are analyzed in depth to discover the pain spots related to storage demands.In the design practice section,relying on the Internet and big data,the user portrait is used to locate the users,and then the scene deepening method is used to summarize the commonalities and differences between the opportunities of large and small data,so as to find the overall design direction of kitchen storage products.Taking the intelligent rice bucket in kitchen storage area as an example,the innovative practice on the storage mode of rice and flour has been carried out,so as to explore the new mode of kitchen storage under the food differences nationwide.
