As the global population continues to expand, social and economic development is rapid, people’s demand for energy is also increasing. These sources of energy mainly come from the increasingly depleted traditional fossil fuels.Meanwhile, fossilfuel consumportion also leads to the increasingly environmental pollution.Hydrogen is considered to be the cleanest and most efficient alternative to fossil fuels in the future.Electrochemical water splitting technology is a predictable hydrogen production tech-nology,which can provide renewable, safe and ecological energy.Precious metal based catalysts have been used to promote the kinetics, which possessed many disadvantages, such as poor stability, scarce resources and high prices,so impeding the large-scale appliacation of electrochemical water splitting. Therefore, the preparation of non-noble metal catalysts has attracted much attention attributed to,low cost and high electrical conductivity. In order to improve the electric catalytic activity of materials,in this thesis three different kinds of three-dimensional substrates are used(copper foam, nickel foam, carbon cloth),Ce,V,Co,Ni based salts were used as a raw material to synthesize the electrocatalyst,by different experimental means for hydrogen evolution and oxygen evolytion reacton. The research focuson as follows:Ⅰ.The Ce O2-Co(OH)2electrocatalyst with the morphology of nanosheets was prepared by electrodeposition method. The synergistic effect between the two metals was improved by adjusting the ratio of Ce and Co salts,so optimizing the catalytic performance.Ⅱ.VS4/Ni3S2-F with highly catalytic performance for the water splitting was obtained by two-step hydrothermal method.By adjusting the amount of ammonium fluoride in the reaction process to tune the morphology of the catalyst,VS4/Ni3S2-F exhibits the efficient performance for the whole water splitting due to the exist of heterostructures.Ⅲ.Several kinds metals doped Co-MOF is first synthesized by using cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB)as soft template, then M-Co-P catalyst was prepared by low temperature phosphating treatment.Through selecting the kind of doped metal and altering phosphating reation condition, the perpormance of M-Co-P with heterostructure is optimized. It is found that Ni-Co-P shows the best catalytic activity. The morphology and structure of the materials were characterized by SEM,TEM,XPS and XRD,and the electrocatalytic activity and stability of the materials were characterized by CV,LSV,I-T and EIS.The results show that the prepared catalyst has excellent performance in electrochemical catalysis.
