Polyacrylate is a kind of macromolecule polymer synthesized from acrylate or methacrylate.It has good mechanical properties,weatherability,acid and alkali resistance,low cost and simple process.It is widely used as film-forming material for leather finishing,building coatings and wood.However,the application of polyacrylate is limited because of its poor antibacterial properties,mechanical properties and thermal stability.The functional behavior of polyacrylate can be improved by chemical modification and structural design.Inorganic/organic composites are composites formed by dispersing inorganic nanoparticles into polymer matrix.Nanocomposites are not simple mixtures of inorganic and organic phases,but two phases compounded in nanoscale.The nano-filler is used as the dispersing phase and the polymer matrix is used as the continuous phase.The dispersing phase is dispersed in the polymer matrix in an independent phase.Composite materials synthesize the thermal stability,hardness,toughness and dielectric properties of inorganic materials.By adjusting the homogeneity and degree of compounding of the composites,the optimum properties of the composites can be obtained.The addition of nanoparticles can greatly improve the mechanical properties of the materials,and has excellent catalytic performance.The superhydrophobic coating with water contact angle(CA)>150°and water sliding angle(SA)<10°can inhibit the adhesion of water droplets and make them roll rapidly from the surface,so it has broad application prospects in self-cleaning,non-wetting,anti-fogging,anti-icing and other fields.With the increasingly serious air pollution,water pollution and energy problems in modern society,people have put forward higher requirements for the application of superhydrophobic coating.Recently,the application of superhydrophobic coating in the rapid oil-water separation has aroused more and more attention.(1)A kind of silicone containing double bond and hydrogen bond has been synthesized via telomerization.In order to disperse and incorporate Zn O into the polymer matrix,Zn O was modified with silicone.Finally,Zn O/polyacrylate and silicone/polyacrylate composites were prepared using modified Zn O and silicone.The present study reports synthesis and characterization of Zn O/polyacrylate and silicone/polyacrylate nanocomposites by in-situ emulsion polymerization.The effects of Zn O and silicone on the morphological structure and thermal properties of composites were systematically studied.The composites were characterized using fourier transform infrared(FTIR),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Scanning electron microscope(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA),particle size analysis,Ultraviolet(UV)and water contact angle(WCA).It could be seen that the thermal degradation temperature of the composites increased significantly with the addition of Zn O and silicone.SEM analysis showed that the films were evenly distributed with the surface modified Zn O nanoparticles.Then the modified Zn O/polyacrylate superhydrophobic composite coating was prepared using modified Zn O and silicone/polyacrylate emulsion.The coating has excellent self-cleaning and oil-water separation properties.(2)A silicone with hydrogen bonds and double bonds in the side chain was synthesized by the blending method,and its structure was determined using FTIR and nuclear magnetic resonance(1H NMR).Then the silicone was used to modify Al2O3,and the chemical composition and thermal stability of Al2O3 before and after modification were verified by FTIR,XRD,TG and WCA.Polyacrylate was modified by silicone,modified Al2O3,silicone and modified Al2O3 respectively,the obtained emulsion was called silicone/polyacrylate composite emulsion,Al2O3/polyacrylate composite emulsion,Al2O3-silicone/polyacrylate composite emulsion.To verify that both silicone and Al2O3 could improve the thermal stability and hydrophobicity of the composites to a certain extent,the composite emulsion and composite emulsion film were tested and characterized.FTIR confirmed that silicone and modified Al2O3 were successfully introduced to the polyacrylate emulsion.A spherical particle with a diameter of about 68 nm could be observed from particle size analysis and TEM.SEM showed the distribution state of the modified monomer in the polymer matrix.TG and WCA analysis showed that both the introduction of silicone and modified Al2O3 could improve the thermal stability and hydrophobicity of the polyacrylate film,and the contact angle of the silicone-Al2O3 composite film could reach 92°.Finally,the modified Al2O3 and silicone/polyacrylate were mixed and sprayed on the substrate to prepare a superhydrophobic coating and the coating was characterized by atomic force microscop(AFM),SEM and WCA.The coating had excellent temperature resistance and self-cleaning properties,and the superhydrophobic filter cloth prepared by sprayed the mixed emulsion on the filter cloth had excellent oil-water separation effect.
