Research On The Promotion Strategy Of Carbon Market Activity Based On The Case Of Guangdong Carbon Trading Market

In the work of promoting energy conservation and emission reduction,carbon trading is an important part,and a mature carbon trading market will help promote the realization of sustainable development goals.In order to achieve the development requirements of innovation,coordination,greenness,openness,and sharing,starting from 2011,my country has gradually carried out pilot carbon market work in seven provinces and cities including Shanghai,Beijing,and Guangdong.However,from the data point of view,the pilot market is less active,and it is difficult to support the integration of the national carbon trading market.In this context,an in-depth study of the carbon trading mechanisms of pilot provinces and cities,and systematic theoretical and practical measures to improve the activity of carbon trading markets in various regions will lay a solid foundation for the integration of the national carbon trading market.This study first analyzes the current status of the national carbon emissions trading market.After collating relevant literature,and analyzing the activity of my country’s carbon trading market in combination with relevant indicators,it is believed that the activity of my country’s carbon trading pilots is generally low,and the differences between the pilots are large.Specific problems include the need to improve the trading mechanism,the improvement of laws and regulations,the lack of transaction entities,and the lagging of financial innovation.These factors have affected the market’s activity by affecting the entities’ confidence and initiative in the market.Among all the pilot carbon trading markets,the Guangdong Carbon Emissions Trading Market with the Guangzhou Carbon Emissions Exchange as the core is one of the more active markets.Under the background of the upcoming opening of the Guangzhou Futures Exchange,the trading of the Guangdong Carbon Emissions Market Both volume and transaction volume indicate that it is a relatively active market.At the same time,in the initial stage of my country’s carbon trading market,the systems in various regions are similar,and research on one of the pilot markets is also applicable to other pilot markets.Therefore,this study analyzes the situation of the carbon trading market in Guangdong Province,draws on the successful experience of the carbon trading market in Guangdong Province,and draws lessons from its problems.After studying the Guangzhou carbon trading market.This article puts forward a number of suggestions from four dimensions: restrictive measures,incentive measures,safeguard measures,and innovative measures,such as: introducing more trading entities,especially investment entities,into the market;reducing carbon trading costs;improving total amount control and Quota issuance mechanism;strengthen risk management and control,improve supervision mechanism;strengthen product innovation,etc.The main contributions of this article include: First,this article is time-sensitive.In order to carry out the research smoothly,this paper has collected the latest data and policy texts,so the relevant analysis has more practical significance.Second,the research content is innovative.Experts and scholars rarely conduct research directly on the activity of the carbon market,and they lack strategic analysis on how to increase the activity of carbon trading.The research on the carbon market from the perspective of activity is innovative.
