| Super-hydrophobic materials have the characteristics of self-cleaning,anti-corrosion,antibacterial,easy microfluid transmission,and oil-water separation.These properties are very attractive to industrial and biological applications,such as anti-fouling coatings for ships,antiicing of transmission lines,self-cleaning of solar cell covers and car windshields,etc.The research on transparent superhydrophobic materials has achieved certain results,but there are still some shortcomings,and there is a lot of room for improvement.For example,most of the coatings have poor mechanical properties,chemical stability and thermal stability,and loss of hydrophobicity in long-term exposure to outdoor environments.In this paper,we researched and improved the durability of transparent hydrophobic coatings.The research content is as follows:1.Using polyacrylic acid(PAA)and tetraethyl orthosilicate(TEOS)to prepare a core-shell silica nanosol by a sol-gel method,a superhydrophobic coating was obtained after modification.The hydrophobic angle of the coating is 155.3°,the highest transmittance is 79%,and it has good self-cleaning properties.However,the durability of the coating is generally low,the transparency is low,and the application prospect is small.This part of the work has laid the foundation for later improvements.2.Using tetraethyl orthosilicate to hydrolyze under alkaline conditions to generate silica sol,and then coating by pulling method and hydrophobically modified to prepare a hydrophobic silica antireflection film.The highest transmittance of the film is 98%,and the transmittance of the 394-804 nm antireflection film is above 95%.The film still has a high transmittance after sand impact,thermal stability,and durability tests.The application potential of antireflection film is huge,and it can be used in industries that require high light transmittance,such as solar glass cover plates and optical device surfaces.3.Use commercial silica nanoparticles,methyl MQ silicone resin(Me-MQ),and silane coupling agent to prepare a hydrophobic solution.After the coating is cured,a semi-transparent super-hydrophobic coating is obtained.The coating has mechanical,chemical,thermal and weather durability properties.The coating is made of silica nanoparticles coated with methyl MQ silicone resin,and is tightly combined with the substrate through the silane coupling agentγ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(KH-570).The water contact angle of the coating is168.2°,and the sliding angle is less than 1.0°.After tape stripping,sand impact,sandpaper abrasion,acid and alkali environment absorption,high temperature baking(550°C),it still has good performance after long-term exposure to the outdoor natural environment.The materials used are fluorine-free,non-toxic,and environmentally friendly materials,and can be effectively applied to large glass surfaces using cost-effective knife coating and brush coating methods.Therefore,these coatings have good practical application prospects,especially their preparation methods are economical and can be produced on a large scale.This work can inspire and advance the research of superhydrophobic coatings in practical applications. |
