Abstract/Summary:
Cr(Ⅵ)has attracted much attention due to its high toxicity.Although Cu(Ⅱ)is an essential trace element for humans, excessive Cu(Ⅱ)in industrial wastewater will also affect human health. The birth of the adsorption technology can harmlessly treat heavy metal ions, and the operation is simple. The heavy metal is removed from the wastewater through the action between the active site of the adsorbent and the heavy metal ions(electrostatic attraction, formation of covalent bonds,etc).MoS2 has attracted much attention due to its abundant sulfur atom at the edge and a large specific surface area.In this paper,MoS2with different molar ratios by simple hydrothermal method and amorphous MoSxadsorbent in the presence of EDTA.The research results are of great significance for broadening the application range of MoS2.The results and conclusions are summarized as follows:(1)By hydrothermal method,The results show that the adsorption capacity of Cr(Ⅵ)by three adsorbents is which were MoS2-1,MoS2-2,MoS2-3,Characterization analysis showed that MoS2-2 has a large specific surface area,ultra-thin properties of nanosheets for the adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ)by MoS2-2.The adsorption mechanism of MoS2-2 adsorbent on Cr(Ⅵ)is as follows:MoS2-2 has a large specific surface area, which is capable of adsorbing Cr(Ⅵ),which is beneficial to the adsorption reaction; In the MoS2-2 adsorbent,S reacts with Cr(Ⅵ)to form a Cr-S bond.(2)EDTA is used to assist the preparation of the amorphous adsorbent EDTA-MoS2(X=2,3)and adsorb the heavy metal Cu(Ⅱ).XRD,TEM,XPS,FTIR,BET confrimedt hat adsorbent EDTA-MoS2(X=2,3)was amorphous structure. The mechanism of adsorption of Cu(Ⅱ)by EDTA-MoS2(X=2,3)was discussed by a series of characterization methods:one is the complexation of the-COOH on the surface of the adsorbent EDTA-MoS2(X=2,3)to Cu(Ⅱ);the other is bridged S22-ligand of EDTA-MoS2(X=2,3)form a covalent bond with Cu(Ⅱ).
