China is the world’s largest producer and consumer of calcium carbide, accounting for 96% of the world’s calcium carbide production. However, there are a lot of waste of resources in China’s traditional calcium carbide production process, and the energy utilization efficiency of calcium carbide furnace is low.At the same time, the traditional calcium carbide production process requires higher-order coal, and the shortage of coking coal in China seriously restricts the development of the domestic calcium carbide industry. Therefore, calcium carbide production requires a new and more scientific process. The coal coke grading replacement new technology studied in this paper solves the above problems better, and replaces high-order coal with low-rank coal powder, and at the same time realizes energy matching between upstream and downstream.Preheating pyrolysis pellets are directly discharged from the preheating furnace.Hot loading into the calcium carbide furnace saves the electricity of the calcium carbide furnace. In this paper, the theoretical calculation of the raw material ratio of coal coke grading instead of the new process is carried out,and the optimal ratio of pulverized coal to quicklime raw material is determined to be 1.1:1.The theoretical calculation of the specific heat capacity of the coal powder, lime powder and the pellets mixed in each proportion is obtained, and the curve of the specific heat capacity with temperature is obtained.Based on the calculation results of specific heat capacity, the theoretical calculation of the power consumption of pellet pyrolysis was carried out,and the power consumption change under theoretical conditions was investigated by changing the raw material ratio and the pyrolysis final temperature in the calculation process. The paper carried out an experimental study, using DSC method to measure the actual specific heat capacity of different raw materials and pellets, and compared with the theoretical calculation results. In the second part of the experiment, the preheating pyrolysis furnace was replaced by a tubular furnace to simulate the coal pyroelectric grading, and the effects of different raw material ratios and different pyrolysis final temperatures on the pellet preheating pyrolysis stage were investigated. The power consumption of the pyrolysis part of the raw material in the tube furnace pyrolysis experiment can be regarded as the electricity saved by the new process of preheating pyrolysis in the production of calcium carbide. The experimental results show that in the preheating pyrolysis stage,as the proportion of coal powder in the raw material ratio increases, the pyrolysis power consumption shows an upward trend, that is,the new process power saving also shows an upward trend. The final temperature of pyrolysis has a significant effect on the power saving. The higher the final temperature of pyrolysis, the greater the power saving of the new process. When the final temperature of pyrolysis is 700℃,the ratio of raw material of coal powder lime powder is 1.1:1,the electricity consumption per 510 g pellet is 0.26 k Wh,which is converted into 700℃ per ton of raw pellets to save electricity after entering the melting furnace. It is 520 k Wh. |
