The biogeochemistry and ecological impact of natural and synthetic nanomaterials is one of the fastest-growing research fields today, which is accompanied by the pollution of the ecological environment by nanoparticles. The ultimate destination of nanoparticles is the ocean. The rapid and efficient quantification and characterization of nanoparticles in the marine environment at environmentally relevant concentrations is of great significance for determining the degree of environmental pollution and protecting the marine ecological environment. In this paper, the two most widely used nanomaterials,Ag-NPs and Ti-NPs,are selected as the research objects, and the use of single particle inductively coupled plasma(SP-ICP-MS)to measure and characterize the ocean is established. Two methods of metal nanoparticles in environmental media(seawater and sediments),and use the established method to systematically study the distribution characteristics of metal nanoparticles in the seawater and sediments of the Liaodong Bay.The established method has the advantages of low detection limit and fast analysis speed. At the same time,it can provide technical support for the analysis and detection of other metal nanoparticles in marine environmental media. The SP-ICP-MS method was used to analyze the particle size distribution and content of Ag-NPs and Ti-NPs in 72 seawater samples in four batches from 18 sampling points in Liaodong Bay.First, standard sea water is used to simulate real sea water, and the single factor test method is used to conduct experiments on the dwell time and other parameters to determine the dwell time as 100 μs.Then the direct dilution method was used to process the seawater samples, and finally the established method was used to analyze the Ag-NPs and Ti-NPs in the seawater. The results of the study showed that the standard recovery rate of Ag-NPs in seawater was 80.4%,and the RSD value was 4.1%.The RSD values of the daily and inter-day methods for detecting Ag-NPs and Ti-NPs in seawater were both less than 7%.Monitoring Ag-NPs and Ti-NPs in seawater for two consecutive years, the size range of Ag-NPs in seawater samples is 14~53 nm,the concentration range is 0.001~7.900 μg/L;the size range of Ti-NPs is 33~124 nm,The concentration range is 0.188~29.015 μg/L.The SP-ICP-MS method was used to analyze the Ag-NPs and Ti-NPs of marine sediment samples from 18 sampling points in the Liaodong Bay.First, ultrasonic water extraction was used to extract Ag-NPs and Ti-NPs particles in marine sediments, and then SP-ICP-MS was used to analyze the extracted solution. The study found that the extraction rate of Ag-NPs in marine sediments is above 90%,and the daily and inter-day RSD values measured by the method accuracy experiment of Ag-NPs and Ti-NPs in marine sediments are both less than 8%..The study found that the size range of Ag-NPs in marine sediments was19-22 nm,and the concentration range was 1.485-6.511 ng/g;the size range of Ti-NPs was69-99 nm,and the concentration range was 120.260-855.740 μg/g.
