Abstract/Summary:
China is the big country of produce and consume for aquatic products in the world. In order to control pests and diseases, some pesticides, such as algaecides and insecticides, are widely used in aquaculture, causing frequent incidents of excessive pesticide residues in aquatic products.Maximum residue limit(MRL)standards for pesticides have become the main technical means and market access threshold of international trade for aquatic products, which plays an important role in aquaculture and management. Therefore, the comparative analysis of pesticide MRL standards for aquatic products between China and major trading countries and the study of pendimethalin metabolism reduction rule in aquatic products possess great significance to further ensure the quality and safety of aquatic products, and provide scientific and effective advice and technical support for supervision of aquatic products.Based on combination of field investigation, laboratory research,HPLC-MS/MS detection, data analysis and simulation assessment, this paper performed the in-depth study for residual distribution, metabolism reduction and dietary risk assessment of pendimethalin in crucian carp tissues and aquaculture water.Besides, this paper compared the pesticide MRL standards for aquatic products between China and major trading countries including Japan,USA and European Union(EU).Main research contents and conclusions are as follows:1.Pendimethalin residues were detected in muscle, liver, kidney, gill and blood of crucian carp, and the residues were unevenly distributed in various tissues, which tend to accumulate in lipid-rich tissues.2.The EED values of pendimethalin in crucian carp tissues were all lower than 100μg/kg bw,and the RQ values were all less than 1,indicating that the chronic risk of pendimethalin is acceptable. However, pendimethalin is currently registered for use in a variety of agricultural products. Therefore, the risk of Chinese residents exposed to pendimethalin may be greater than this estimated level.3.China has set the MRLs for three kinds of pesticides and re-residue limits for hexachlorocyclohexane(HCH)and dichlorodiphenyl trichloroethane(DDT)in aquatic products.Compared with CAC,EU,USA and Japan, the MRL standards developed by China covers a large range of aquatic products, among which same pesticide, the MRL aimed at one pesticide in China almost covers all aquatic products or all fish. However,China has not currently set the MRL of pendimethalin in aquatic products.
