Driver’s aggressive driving behavior has a great impact on road traffic safety. It is of great significance to study the influencing factors of the aggressive driving behavior to understand the generation mechanism of the aggressive driving behavior and the countermeasures.Based on a comprehensive model of aggressive driving behavior, this paper studies the influencing factors of aggressive driving behavior and analyzes the influence of driver’s personal characteristics and road events on aggressive driving behavior.Taking a driver’s personal traits, just world belief as an example,a questionnaire survey was conducted to study the relationship between just world belief, driving anger and aggressive driving behavior.Taking traffic conflicts as an example, the impact of road events on drivers’ aggressive driving behavior is studied based on naturalistic driving data. The main work of this article is as follows:(1)Use structural equation model to study the relationship between driver’s personal characteristics and aggressive driving behavior.Based on the literature, questionnaires that measure the driver’s just world belief, driving anger and aggressive driving behavior is designed, and the driver’s score in all scales.According to the relationship between the driver’s personal characteristics and aggressive driving behavior in the existing literature,a model of the relationship between all variables is constructed, and the structural equation model is used to study the relationship between just world belief, driving anger, and aggressive driving behavior. The final result found that the just world belief has a low correlation with driving anger, but has a significant negative correlation with the driver’s aggressive driving behavior.(2)Research on the differences between aggressive driving behavior detected by questionnaire survey and naturalistic driving data. Some of the questionnaire survey participants conducted driving experiments, using K-means to cluster driving data according to vehicle speed, acceleration and yaw rate, and to identify the aggressive driving behavior. An index of aggressive driving is defined, each driver’s aggressiveness is analyzed, and compared with the results of the questionnaire survey. It was found that there was a certain difference between the results of the driver’s questionnaire survey and the aggressive driving behavior identified by driving data.(3)Construct a driver’s aggressive driving behavior classifier.According to the speed and acceleration of the vehicle in the driving data, the state of the vehicle in the driving process is labeled. If the speed and acceleration of the vehicle do not meet a certain dynamic threshold,it is labeled as aggressive driving behavior. After that,a support vector machine classifier is established to obtain the probability of the driver’s aggressive driving behavior in a certain state. The final result found that the accuracy of the classifier was the highest when the radial basis function was used and the penalty parameter was 0.6.The final result obtained 99.88% accuracy and 95.63% recall in the test set.(4)Analyze the impact of road events on aggressive driving behavior.Based on the established aggressive driving behavior classifier, the driver’s aggressive driving probability changes after traffic conflicts are studied.According to the established classifier, the aggressive driving probabilities of 30 s before and after the traffic conflict are obtained and compared.A comparison of the aggressive driving probabilities before and after a total of 84 traffic conflict events found that the aggressive driving probability decreased after 41 traffic conflicts,35 increased and 8 unchanged after traffic conflicts. The results of the paired sample T test showed that the driver’s aggressive driving probability did not change significantly before and after the traffic conflict, that is,the traffic conflict did not significantly affect the driver’s aggressive driving behavior.
