| Medical waste,also known as medical trash,is produced by medical and health institutions in the process of medical treatment,prevention and health care.It’s a kind of waste with direct or indirect infectivity,toxicity and other hazards.According to its characteristics,it can be divided into five categories: infectious,pathological,pharmaceutical,chemical and damaging.Medical waste is listed as the first hazardous waste in the national hazardous waste list(2018 new edition),and its harmfulness is obvious.Once the medical waste is not properly disposed,it may lead to bacterial infection,or soil and water pollution,affect people’s health and life safety,and destroy the construction of ecological civilization.In recent years,news reports about the chaos of the sale and disposal of medical waste have attracted more and more attention.Therefore,it is imperative to strengthen the management of medical waste in medical institutions.Medical institutions are the important source of medical waste management.If medical institutions neglect the management of medical waste,it may lead to serious consequences.This manuscript will start from the county and township medical institutions to investigate and analyze the current situation of medical waste management,including the status of medical waste management,disposal status,staff cognition and medical waste supervision,through the county and township medical institutions self-examination and questionnaire,field investigation,management interviews and other ways to investigate the management of medical waste in county and township medical institutions,analyze and focus on the current situation of management,combined with advanced experience and innovative methods of medical waste management at home and abroad,and according to relevant laws and regulations of China,seek suggestions and countermeasures to solve relevant problems,so as to furtherpromote the improvement of medical waste management level of medical institutions and improve people’s livelihood. |
