Coumarin/aryl 1,2-dione is an important organic synthesis intermediate.Due to its biological activity and optical properties,it has been widely used in the fields of medicine and materials.Therefore,the realization of simple and efficient synthesis of coumarin/aryl 1,2-diketone compounds has very important research significance.Herein,we developed an eddecient method for the synthesis of coumarin/aryl 1,2dione without any photosensitizer under the visible light irradiation.The main research contents are as follows:1.A mild and efficient visible-light-induced synthesis of coumarin/aryl 1,2-diketones from 3-arylacetylene coumarins without any photocatalyst was developed.This iodide-mediated method exhibits broad substrate scope,good functional group tolerance and high yields(Scheme 1).2.Based on the control experimental results,it is found that both molecular oxygen and water are oxygen source for this oxidation reaction.A possible mechanism combining radical and ionic processes was proposed.3.Moreover,some synthesized compounds display high sensitivity to hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)with low detection limit(down to 0.149 μM).This work provides a straight forward way to create valuable coumarin/aryl 1,2-diketones with great potential application in florescence probes.
