The Study On The Influence Of Green Technology Innovation On New Urbanization

The new urbanization with the theme of innovation,green and smart is becoming the endogenous driving force for China’s economic transformation and upgrading.Instead of the traditional factor-driven development model,the new engine driven by innovation has become the key to new urbanization.Green technology innovation,as a typical representative of innovation drive,takes into full account both economic and environmental benefits by integrating the ecological cycle into the technological innovation of the whole industrial chain.It can be inferred that green technology innovation has a role in breaking the problem of developmental motivation and environmental constraints in the new urbanization construction.On the basis of relevant literature review at home and abroad,this paper firstly analyzes the mechanism of green technology innovation on the development of new urbanization.Secondly,based on the new urbanization and green technology efficiency calculation,the panel FGLS regression is used to empirically test the overall impact of green technology innovation on new urbanization,population urbanization,industrial urbanization and ecological urbanization.Thirdly,it is analyzed that the green technology innovation affects new urbanization through industrial structure effect,foreign investment effect,energy consumption effect and informalization development effect by using mediating effect test.Furthermore,using the panel threshold model,this paper discusses the nonlinear relationship between green technology innovation and new urbanization development under different mediation thresholds.Finally,the research shows that: first,green technology innovation is the most effective way to promote the development of new urbanization.Second,green technology innovation can promote new urbanization by attracting foreign investment,optimizing energy consumption structure and promoting informalization development.In addition,the intermediary role of industrial structure optimization is not significant in the full sample empirical test,but it is significant in the sub-regional empirical test.In other word,the mediating effect of industrial structure optimization exists but is not stable.Third,the dual role of industrial structure optimization,foreign investment,energy consumption structure and informalization development all have double thresholds.With the increase of thresholds,the effect of green technology innovation on the enhancement of new urbanization increases.Based on the above conclusions,this paper put forwards the following suggestions such as improving the efficiency of green technology innovation,promoting the upgrading of industrial structure to realize the development of “production-city integration”,formulating differentiated investment strategies and optimizing the structure of foreign investment,adjusting the energy consumption structure to achieve low-carbon development,and promoting the construction of smart cities.
