Study On Causes And Risk Early Warning Of Tower Crane Safety Accidents

As one of the main lifting equipments in the construction site,the tower crane is badly helpful in improving the labor efficiency of constction workers and accelerating the construction schedule.However,due to the high risk of the processes of tower crane installation and dismantling and poor management of on-site tower crane safety management,tower crane accidents occur frequently in recent years with serious results.To systematically analyze the occurrence mechanism of tower crane safety accidents and put forward targeted prevention and control measures,a total of 194 investigation reports of tower crane accidents in China from 2013 to 2019 are collected and used to study the causes and risk early warning method of tower crane safety accidents.Firstly,a descriptive statistical analysis of 194 tower crane safety accidents was conducted from three aspects of accident time characteristics,accident types and accident levels,and occurrence phases,revealing the basic rules of the accidents.Then,based on existing literature review and system thinking,the entirety of the tower crane accident causes was considered as a system and decomposed into 6 subsystems and 34 causal factors.After this,the occurrence frequencies of accident causal factors and situation severities of subsystems were statistically analyzed.Secondly,the cause network model of tower crane safety accident was established by using the complex networks method.Therefore,the correlations of different causal factors could be analyzed,and critical causes and accident pathes of tower crane accidents were identified.Otherwise,BP neural network optimized by genetic algorithm(GA)was used to carry out risk early warning research on tower crane safety accidents,and an early warning model of tower crane safety accident was established.The graphical user interface(GUI)of the model was also designed.Finally,According to the results above,corresponding recommendations were proposed for improvement of tower crane safety management and accident prevention.Based on the case study of tower crane safety accidents,the effective information provided by the accident investigation reports is fully utilized.On the one hand,the basic laws of tower crane safety accidents and the critical causes as well as paths leading to the accidents are revealed and corresponding prevention and control countermeasures are proposed.On the other hand,a risk early warning model is eatablished.These provide a certain theoretical and practical reference for strengthening tower crane safety management and preventing tower crane safety accidents by relevant units and management personnel.
